Hyoslayer- GW250 Inazuma

Saw this new Suzuki (http://www.suzuki.co.nz/Motorcycle/Street/GW250+Inazuma/) in a Suzukifest brochure.
Naked 250 for $5,695. Hyosungs naked 250 is supposed to be the cheap commuter, they are $6,995.

I know what I'd prefer.

Not a bad looking bike, with a good reputation behind it. Same price as the 250 Intruder too, they seem to be pretty popular.

I just need to win lotto so I can buy all the new bikes, and heaps of old ones too.

The high-quality finish is carried throughout the bike using aluminium parts which not only makes the bike look good but also keeps overall weight down helping to increase performance, agility and economy.

Sounds good, but then they list the weight as 183kg, and no listed power, but out of an IL2, I wouldn't expect much. Probably is a hyoslayer, but only because of the badge.

I saw it listed elsewhere as 24hp but not sure on that accuracy. Weighs similar to the hyo. But i dont think their prices will plumet as fast when you go to upgrade and hopefully have suzuki reliability.

Rode it... Goes suprisingly well although I'm biased as I work for a Suzuki Franchise. It is a little porky at 183 kegs but you don't feel that weight as it's low in the chassis. Biggest negative for that bike is the lack of supply into the country, we could have sold loads by now!

what I don't see in there is any mention of the frame size.
that was the killer feature for the Hyosung for me. at the time it was the only learner legal bike that was actually large enough to be comfortable to sit on.

with lams, there are some higher capacity and much more expensive bikes out there with the larger frames.

Been riding my Inazuma for the last 9 months, clocked up 6k. I cannot really fault the bike for what it is. I'm on my restricted and use it for my daily commute (40km round trip). It was cheap to buy, cheap to run and serves my needs at the moment. All said, once I get my full I'll be moving up to a bigger bike, but I would recommend this bike for beginners or someone who wants a cheap commuter.:)

I usually keep seeing the same Inzauma on the southern motorway during my commutes to and from town. Might be you Boblar, but it's a pretty slick looking bike for that price. I'd definitely take it over the equivalent naked Hyosung.

Yup. I'd presume they would have a better finish (and start and middle for that matter) than a Hyosung. Not top quality, but for $5000 I think I could cope with a few panels not quite smooth or a foot peg bolt needing a tighten up.

Ride mine from Elerslie to Albany and back most days. Nice bike with enough power to cope with what I need and nippy enough with good handling for a fun afternoon around the hills out cleavedon way.
