Hi All,

I'm taking my missus for a wee holiday in the south of France.
We have 5 weeks in June/July.

I'm looking at hiring a motorbike (maybe from these people : http://rent-bike.fr/index.php4?fra=location&lang=gb&tt=Bikes&pre=tours&pan=&res=Motos )
and riding the entire coast from Italy to Spain over 7 days.

Has anyone here had any experience riding in France (or similar European countries?)

And who wants to comment on which of those bike I should take. Currently ride a Daytona 675, I'm 6'. We will have a fair bit of crap so the bigger panniers the better.
Leaning towards the GS F800 or the R1200. But I've never ridden either. Who has either of those I can test ride in Auckland?

Looking forward to your comments!

M.

1200GS has significantly better rider and pillion accomodation and plenty more torque. I'd go for that.
I have a 1200GS Adventure (taller, bigger tank n stuff).
Wander into Experience BMW and see what you can test.
