Hey you guys that frequent the Woodcocks Road curves.

I had to come home from work that way tonight due to a road closure :yawn:

There are many places where the tar has risen to the surface, resulting in totally lethal, shiney tar to ride on. It is not just reserved for corners either, it appears where traffic has exited a driveway or what have you. Please take care over the hill and beyond until it has been resurfaced with yet another layer of pathetic chip that bleeds. If it rains it will become an ice rink, and probably not much better in the heat if you are pushing it.

SH1. A car had flipped on Schedewys Hill. Timesaver traffic told me that the traffic was backed up and stopped before the Johnson Hills Tunnels, I elected to go the long way rather than sit and wait. My daughter text me to say she was stopped in traffic on Schedewys Hill and that was over an hour before I finished work. The traffic was still creeping into Warkworth when I got to the end of Woodcocks. We have the Winery Tour concert on this weekend which would have brought heaps more cars heading to WW.
