Easter Weekend ride to Cape Reinga

Is anyone keen on a weekend away to Reinga?
easter, last weekend in march
We have free accomodation at Coopers For up to
about 12 peeps. Am picking we will do whangarei to coopers on the fri night then spend saturday going up to the cape then back thru the mukas and forest on sun.
Alternatively we could just go straight up to the cape on sat and then back to coopers for sat night.

At least meander a bit, not sure if I have achieved the required testicular mass to take Tubby up the beach yet. Mind you, it will be easier with somebody there to laugh at me.:laugh:

Or... We could delay till easter, last weekend in march, when the tide is possibly more condusive as it is around 2 ish.
Kelvin and Joy are starters but not for the beach. I will prob not have the wife so am definitely keen for the beach option from waipapakauri.

:angry::facepalm::pinch:I'm working, arse. Other staff have fambly commitments. I would be really keen to do some adventuring with a bit more notice. Easter weekend the pressure will be on & I'm moving house in a month or so. I will put my thinking cap on for a Dual Porpoise Tour D' Northland.

I will have a look at the dates for Easter & see if I can get some time off. Beach will be busy, though.

If you are going to make it please confirm it with me so I can get some idea of numbers.
As I said, accommodation is sorted and free, it is sitting there waiting for us.
If any of you aucklanders are keen, we will obviously wait for you so that you don,t have to get going at 5 in the morning!

A close friend of ours has bought the Taipuha School complete with two classrooms/ a swimming pool and changing sheds/chickens and pigs. She is having a Scool Camp party there on Easter Saturday...we are going to that.

was at the cape on tuesday.........first time in thirty years.....did a bit of a northland loop with some friends from chch after paeroa........it's a longer walk to the lighthouse from the carpark than i remember back then,but the road there is a treat............

Our first trip up there Nov 2011 only half walked down to the lighthouse, the rest stayed at the carpark. Anne made it down in a MOONBOOT and back up, unaided :clap:
