HI all manawatu riders

I am organising a street ride with Dave Moss and a personal loan bike from Adam at ANZA, this will be a street ride not a race ride. :innocent: but if you like to go off for blat no worries at all.

With weather over hill looking a bit average we are going to stay this side, with the so far plan is to leave ashhurst servo 10.30am head up to apiti, then north to rangiwahia, north again to Taihape, lunch break. North again to Ohakune fuel stop. South to Whanganui then inland to hunterville, (what road not sure yet) north again to V-Hill, Feilding, then home ETA 6pm ish. 430km ride in total.

Now options are, if people like to start and not do whole ride sweet, either at Kimbolton intersection after Apiti turn left head hm, awesome, or turn left at highway after Rangiwahia, Nice. Or at Whanganui take highway hm easy as. Or do the whole ride with us Perfect. :-)

I am also open to ideas on ride if someone has a better loop to offer up for Dave to see some twisties, sights and general roads then speak up

If interested in tagging along then post up so we get a numbers idea or see you at servo tomorrow morning. :wings::wings:

If questions are asked to Dave about tyres, suspension etc on ride at stops then Dave is very happy to help and answer them. FREE BE:woohoo::woohoo:

Sounds good mate although not a fan of Apiti, if the weather plays ball then I'm in for most of it anyway.

Yeah I know, can leave it out and head that way via Kimblot, but trying to show Dave as much country as possible. :innocent:

Yeah that's cool, just not my cuppa and easy enough to catch up at the rest area and join in there

Did Rangi on Sunday. There is a reasonably long section of new seal maybe 10km North of Kimbolton. Not a lot of metal but this just makes it a bit harder to see. Don't go bowling into a corner too hot...

I really enjoyed the 400+km ride today through a huge variety of NZ scenery, types of roads and various towns along with brilliant look out/vista points for a couple of photo's. Clearly some of the roads could easily see Isle of Man speeds!

Thanks to Sam, Alistair and John for the fun today and Adam for the loan of the 675R. You will love the bike you are getting back :)

Yeah I'm annoyed with myself for not getting my shit together to do the whole ride. Interesting you comment on Isle of Mann as we have on occasion thought the Vinegar Hill and Halcome Hill loop would make an outstanding IOM style road race. :headbang:

I was meaning when/if Dave comes back next year but that said Andrew, no need to wait until then for the rest of us. It'll have to be the coming next few weeks with my revolving shifts that I do. I need to find the funds for a new rear tyre, the age old issue with riding bikes...

Yeah, I won't be waiting that long...

Next two weeks out for - leaving for the South on next Thursday. Then there's some PR2's waiting for my return...
