"Other CRF" (http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/dirt-bikes/auction-560023422.htm)

$2,300 for a new enduro bike. Hell for that money You could buy 4 and replace anything broken with parts off your 3 spares and be better off than an original one. But how blatant can a copy be? Colours, name and style. For $2,300 they must be made of recycled plastic and beer cans. Even though you know it's going to break down 100 times, still tempting! (Yes I'm that cheap ).

No VIN, no warranty...

Probably cost Honda too much to chase them down, but at least going after the importer might make them think twice about doing it again...

Yea wouldn't worry about a warranty, you expect it to crap out. Sell it in parts for more than it's worth. Tires, wheels, levers etc could all be sold for use on other bikes. If the engine is an exact copy (Probably would be as that would be cheapest) but with shittier components, could be just an engine freshen up away from being decent? New pistons, rings, bearings etc.

Yes I spotted that last night. Looks to have an alloy frame to.

I looked at a new WR250 the other day and you only get 3 months warranty on em.

Mate bought one very similar to this, from the same seller too I think. Bike was shit, fell apart real quick and is now just a hunk of scrap metal sitting in a shed.

"We have being bringing in these bikes to New Zealand for a while now"

I wonder what the registered company name is?

I wonder what the registered company name is?

"Black Market Ltd."

or "No pick ups, no receipts, we are ghosts"

Most likely "Hodna New Zealand Ltd."

Parts are not worth anything, as someone said, they are made from beer cans, even the wheel rims are fucked. I have the carb and some other bits but nothing else is worth keeping.

"They come fully assemble by a Qualified motor mechanic"

Sounds like Skidmark's found himself another job at last.

"and are serviced by an A grade Mechanic".

Someone please tell me it's not George.

hmmm, 14kW claimed, bit shy of the 22 the real CRFs have. frame looks pretty filthy casting too, beer cans is likely an accurate description, guess its going to be heavier than a CRF. Still some people don't seem to understand the concept of second hand, so I guess he will sell a few

It's not being advertised as a Honda. But as a CRF.

Interestingly ... the seller that claims to have been bringing them in for years ... has not traded yet ...

So ...

A poor imitation of a known and popular model of motorcycle. Made in 3rd world country. For a 3rd world market. To 3rd world standards and legislation. Then exported to a country with stricter standards ... for sale for road use ... (lights and indicators suggest intended possible road use) yet with the seller stating they have NOT been vinned for/in New Zealand use.

How many warning bells need to be rung .. ???

Hello caps lock.

Would Honda sue Suzuki if they made Suzuki CBR1000? Most likely. They probably just know if they spent money sueing them they wouldn't recoup their legal cost from any reparation from such a cheap company.
