Befor xmas I seen a 2007 dl650 V strom on trade me for $6500 and at the bottom of the add it said will swap for a dirt bike:doobey:.
So I asked if he would be keen on a 2002 ktm 525 exc road legal with a few xtras and also cash his way. I dint want to do the deal till after the dusty butt.
Don't ask me how it happened but we ended up doing a straight swap. I left at 4am this morning and meet him in CHCH.
Deal all done and I have to say what a sweet bike to ride. I love it
I know I wont be able to go the places I use to go but I think it was worth it in the long run
The v strom is totally stock bar a top box. Its tidy and has 57000k on the clock

Went for a bit of a ride thru Mosgiel then took the gravel back roads to Outram then thru Sinclair wet lands.
Back on to the sealed roads up to Millers flat over the bridge and back down the Millennium Track / Beaumont.
Stopped in Laurence for a drink then back home. I really love the bike I find it very comfortable
So far i find it a bit heavy and a bit piggy on the gravel but this Is probley more me than the bike as I've gone from a light weight to
a tank. All in all I love it and can see why so many people also love them:yeah:
I will put some crash bars and a bash plate/ better tyres and just ride it and see how I go
Does anybody know how to set the clock ??

Does anybody know how to set the clock ??
With the bike running (maybe it's enough to have the ignition on - I don't know) hold down the left clock button for a few seconds until the display begins to blink. Then use the right button to adjust the time. When it's set, press the left button again and the display should stop blinking.
SEL first, then ADJ. :)
Not together, one at a time....
