View Full Version : Rearset Welding?

Cracked my right hand side rearset along one of its arms on saturday. I bent it back today and it holds fine as it is for 'normal' riding, but I am hesitant with it when riding hard as one puts a lot of weight on the peg and thus the rearset itself when putting you knee out and leaning hard.

I'm pretty sure a brand new one, or a 2nd hand one for that fact is gonna be pricey as a 2nd mirror is going to set me back around $90. So I was wondering if I could get the rearset proffesionally welded? Would this be possible with the metal, would it hold etc? Also got any idea on where this could possibly be done and what it would cost me?

Thanks

There are aluminium welders on Barry's Point Rd and around Westhaven. Any of them will do a fine job.
