Do you really need the coroner to tell you ten litres of coke a day is bad?

"because there was no warning label on the bottle we didn't know it was dangerous" give me a break

I seriously believe that some people really are that stupid! I also believe that some people are proof that a kind "de-evolution" has begun....

That's true... coz coca cola is from america and we all want to be like americans, but without the funny accent.

She was 30 years old and had 8 kids (even if some were twins etc) and smoked 30 cigarettes a day. Maybe it wasn't the cola lol.

Yup, the denial of personal responsibility. I can still remember when it was ok to tell a person they were doing something stupid. Nowadays it's a last resort & probably illegal.

Thing is, in them days we had 3 tv channels, libraries & newspapers to keep us informed. Unless somebody can prove they have been forced to live in a bucket for the last 20 years they should not get the time of day from society. Morans.

I can remember when telling an adult male he was doing something stupid was asking for a fight, one you'd almost always get. Personal responsibility was not only accepted but demanded, it was as obvious then that it went hand in hand with the right to make adult decisions as it is now.

And there's the rub, eh? we no longer have the same rights to make those decisions. So we blame those who've taken those responsibilities on our behalf. Perfectly reasonable.

Only some of us still reckon we'll make our own decisions, and fuck 'em.

G'warn, tell me I'm doing something stupid.

fuck sakes. Im sure theres an amy winehouse joke in here somewhere, but I can't figure it out yet . . .

thats the same excuse old smokers have

not really, you'd need to be deaf and dumb not to know that shit isnt good for you in the first place with all the beat up on telly and other media about healthy eating and shit, and 'back in the day' smokers were bombarded with doctors recommending certain brands of tobacco over others, and suggesting it as a healthy remedy for several ailments. Look up old smoking adverts from the 40's-60's

 I come from a community of coal miners & fishermen. The steel workers & ship builders just down he road. Having a go at someone would get you the fight, putting someone right, in a non pc way would not. Their was no PC then. And a fool was a fool. Regardless of what they drank.

I guess the only thing that has really changed is idiots make headlines & get sympathy now.

Maybe from some ultra PC mugs, but this thread is surely a cross-section of a typical reaction to the poor sweet idiot..?

I noticed Stuff didn't open it up for comments.

Nature, for whatever reason, decided to remove her from the gene pool. Bit fucking late after she's dropped eight children that will undoubtedly be as thick as her. Maybe nature needs a helping hand.

You could be one of them....let's say there's 4 million in NZ and the average IQ is 100. If more than 1 person has an IQ of 100 your quote would be wrong.
