Well, they are old new rules, been around a few years now...RnR posts dont count... for instance.

Well, OK I knew about that. But I posted a couple of times in the "clutch etc" forum without the count moving. Just wondering if I missed something...again.

It only goes up when you post something positive...instead of whining like a little...:girlfight:

So 99% of posts don't raise post counts then? :Pokey:

You total post count slofulla is 9733.

Off topic posts (as this thread is) do not count in your total post count.

I sold the shop last year. But I am still working there. But only until I can find other employment - the new owner is a dork.

I always wondered why my post count just kept decreasing. Does that mean only positively repped posts get counted?

Your post count doesn't decrease, unless mods move your posts around (ie, from somewhere counted to not counted).

As stated, not all areas of the forums contribute to your post count.

Actually, do the post points count for anything?

Post count helps towards Rep power. As does time as a member. And rep points held by a member.

Which in turn do?

Which in turn do?

When you give Green rep ... you award rep points. If you give Red ... you deduct points. The more rep power YOU have ... the more points you award/deduct to/from that member.

So that is what the advantage some members have ... that have posted in the thousands. HIT harder.

Not all rep from every member is equal. A few (brave) new members soon find this out.

A Red rep deduction is half the amount of which you award in green.
All points redeemable at any local Subway store.

As a rule of thumb: Motorcycle related post add to post count. Off topic ones don't.

However it is possible to see just what your true post is. Have a look at your profile page and see if you can work it out. :msn-wink:

I just noticed that Mom's true post count is an interesting 12345.

If you get a red rep, click on the post and delete it, the red then becomes N/A
