Right People, information is up on the calendar page now about the start time and place / accomodation and where to register. :ride::ride::ride:
So far there are 3 different options for the route from Pio Pio to taumarunui and i will decide on the best option closer to the time depending on expected numbers etc...
If someone wants to post the link up to the calendar page that would be great ( when i do it it seems to auto register everyone who visits the calendar ):brick:
We will have an extra hour up our sleeve at the end of the saturday this year as saturday is the last day of daylight savings.:sunny:

How much experience is required for this ride? I'll have a bit of street and highway experience, but little off-road skill.
Also, what do you guys bring? Days change of clothes, food... ?

Sounds good- I'm actually doing some of this route in reverse this saturday- I'm driving straight to Owhango - 42nd - National Park fuel up- Fishers- back out through Kaitieke. I've attached a photo of my new CRF250L after riding around on some back country last weekend, at the end of Oio road. It will be bone dry on the 42nd this weekend, we can only hope for some heavy rain when we ride this to make it more fun

Despite my big talk I suspect I'll be joining the goat chasers, the R80 on road tyres isn't quite the competition machine I think it is. :(

No, your safe, I've got a bucket to reassemble tomorrow in readiness for the bucket GP at Tokoroa next weekend (not far from your place, come on down on the saturday) and the 450 requires a thrashing at South Head on sunday, should be good weather all round....
I'm planning on Mike Brittons Mangakino adventure ride on the 20-21st so be prepared for the drought breaker then!
Have a good ride you lot, remember: if in doubt gas it out
(and take pics)
