Simon Crafar's Motovudu book/DVD

Anyone bought this? Planning on ordering the book and DVD just to see what he has to say. Interesting bit in the MCN video below that contradicts Keith Code and Twist of the Wrist...

Must say I'm surprised to find little mention on KB given he's one of only a handful of Kiwi's to win a top class grand prix (i.e. 500cc/MotoGP) :first:

Anyone know of someone in NZ stocking it or will I have to order from the UK site? Or anyone interested in a group buy to save shipping etc?

Saw the DVD in Cycletreads last month.

Was really thinking of buying it, but can't bear the thought of having to watch GSXR for that long.

In the MCN vid the guy says Simon advises staying off the gas through the corner - i.e. until after your apex.

KC says you should crack the throttle as soon as you have finished your turn-in in order to stabilise the bike and spread load - i.e. before you apex.

Having not seen the actual Motovudu book or DVD I'm wondering if that's just the MCN guy's interpretation or whether it's in fact a whole different technique/logic/etc.

I bought the book/dvd.

a couple of things to note. firstly, he obviously knows what he is doing

secondly, some of the techniques he teaches are oppositte to keith code. there is more than one way to go fast on a track, that is obvious from watching different styles and lines from gp/sbk etc.

my personal view is learn whats out there from people that are successful at it. then try them out and see how they feel. take what works for you then move on and make it your own.

and the quality of the dvd is great. techniques explained very well. its a way better product that keith codes, just the format and info is different

I loved the comment he made regarding corner speed... "Fast in, and fast out' rather than the slow in fast out process :D This DVD/book wont help you get around the Coromandel any safer :D

Unless you are a book worm, certainly.

The "instruction" portions are identical, but in the DVD you get the extra bits about Crafar himself and his lifestyle.

Both the book and the DVD are produced to a high standard.
