Wandering to work this morning in Wellington I spot an old bike in the front of a Barbers shop.
Turns out it's a Victoria, I've never heard of them but Wikipedia has: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_(motorcycle) This is a work in progress, partially restored. The owner has the guards etc for it.
Then down the back of the shop is a replica Norton Flattracker, made by the owner.

Where is this master barber... He is obviously good with his hands and my barnet needs harvesting. I'd like him to make me look that good...
(there are actually a few 'Victoria's' in NZ - they turn up on TM from time to time. Everything from that to mopeds)

I had a Victoria Moped back in my schooldays. Model was Vicky 3. 'Twas a "real" moped; in that it had pedals and two chains. (One for motor and one for chains.) The subsequent model, Vicky 4, (heh heh) went to one chain and used clutches to switch from pedal power to motor. Had a mate with a Vicky 4, and one with a NSU Quickly. All these were good for close to 200mpg.
