Anybody gotta starter motor for a Suzuki Savage LS650? They are all the same from 1986 to 2009 which includes the boulevards. I'm in ChCh.
I'm gettin' withdrawal symptoms already :weird:

If it's just the brushes in it they're part number 31131-48B00

http://www.cmsnl.com/search.php?model_id=16138&partblk_block=82434 and part numbers for the rest of the internals.

The brushes are damaged but most of the teeth are missing (& a tooth on the driven gear & a tooth or 2 on one of the small starter gears.:(

Crikey, how'd you manage that?
You should be able to pick up a complete unit pretty cheap

It was noisy when I bought it six mths back but got worse really quickly this last week. Cant work out how it ended up so bad. Have sent out some emails around the place for a starter motor. Many feelers make bike work.

Insure it & push it into the ocean. It might not work and you could end up in Court and in the papers for attempted fraud, ridiculed on the interwebs and your friends could disown you.

Worth a shot?

It's like a fine wine I reckon, vintage 2012.

Inbox cleared. There was only 1,300 messages, what's your problem?

Sounds to me like you're more likely to need a new starter clutch assembly.
