..................................MAP (http://goo.gl/maps/tvpUy)

Would anyone be keen to meet up & ride in group ? I know there are some coming up from Welly so I have thought about meeting at Greenlane Maccas & going from there.

Just an idea .... http://goo.gl/maps/GG6wj if someone with more skills than me is keen, then by all means take the reigns on this

Soo sad,

I was down At Paeroa, didnt see the crash though.

But now I feel guilty as I was one of those spectators complaining about the delays in racing. :( not reailising the seriousnes of the crash.

I hope the other guy inolved is all good.

An icon in his own lunchbox. Yes if u knew him he would be cracking bad jokes every second sentence. I'm really going to grieve for your smart arse. Cause I never laughed so much.... Sometimes days of laughing. ... Till it hurt. See u Thurs bro.

I remember a Lance who used to leave the AMCC clubhouse and then pop huge wheelies along the motorway whilst we all watched....and brought his 'exotic dancer' girlfriend complete with no undies and a short skirt to the Christmas party.

I'm saddened if this is the guy...I remember seeing him race at Paeroa 10 years ago and overshooting the right hander at the end of the straight a few times, but always going for it.

See you Lance.
The looseness of your unit was inspiring.

I didn't know Lance, apart from being a spectator, but I knew his parents back in the '70's...sad for their loss. I'm not surprised to turned out to be the performer he was.

Well I guess I'm lucky that I have only good and funny memories of Lance.

There's a photo somewhere, and AMCC had it as the wallpaper on the desktop screen in the clubrooms for ages, of Lance doing a stoppie at Paeroa wearing his KBC "Black Chrome' helmet and you can see the reflection of the road surface in the top of his helmet. If anyone has the high res of this shot, I'd pay to get a copy.

The intention is to pass the hat around to all attending, purely to provide some small assistance to Lance' immediate family in this absolutely devastating time...

I would personally like to ask that all those attending to take a moment to remember Lance as the absolute showman he was (& still is to alot of us...)

A rough cut diamond - perhaps

A true friend to those who knew him well - absolutely

You will be missed my brother...

Until we meet again

Talk to "Doc" from Hard On racing - he put together an amazing photographic tribute that was looped during the memorial service, I have a feeling the shot that your talking about was a part of that...

If your not sure who I'm talking about PM me

Cheers

This is probably the closest I have to that stoppie... Not a black chrome helmet.

Full res, you're welcome to it gratis. I took it.

edit: heh, KB has reduced it slightly, I can upload one a little bigger to an imagehost if you want.

Got distracted on other things, if not for a reminder.

Here's a gallery of pics I took at Paeroa 2009: http://s210.photobucket.com/user/_Gremlin/library/Lance%20Lowe?sort=2&page=1

Ownership of photos remain mine, no commercial use unless authorised etc etc.

edit: argh, fucken Photobucket. I uploaded full size photos, and it seems to think it knows better. Anyone know what to adjust so it gives full photos?
edit2: re-uploading photos with a slightly different setting, there are 24 in all, so give it some time for them all to upload again...

I have found said photo whilst cleaning out the cupboard in the AMCC Rooms. We are going to get it framed. If you want to get a copy of it its best to get hold of Neil Martin http://amcc.org.nz/index.php/menu-clubinformation/menu-contacts.html (Just scroll down to his name for his details) as he has the photo at the moment.

Cheers,
