You guys going to take your tricycle ? Brenton i and will bring his one down.

Henk

Yep, planning on it. You brining one down or two?

Hopefully the GPR boys will bring theirs as well. Going to be hard work on a trike round that track.

Just bringing Brentons one down, mines still a bottomless pit of money. Snapped rear suspension mount while testing, have sent it off to the naughty corner. Have heard someone brought a bucket sidecar in Paeroa the other week, know anything about it?

Oops, didn't realise it was two days (can only do 1 day), is it ok to just turn up for sunday? If that is a waste of time feel free to say so, we just want to get some more track time in rather than waiting till april.

Henk
27th February 2013, 09:25
You can turn up Sunday. Qualifying will be Saturday but if you don't care too much about grid positions run off the back. If you do care get in touch with Steve to arrange a Sunday morning qualifying run ahead of time

Going to be hard work on a trike round that track.would like to but just about kills us taking it on and of the trailer )-: at least l can bang it on a dyno now to make it run half by right. think the fuel pump running straght into the carb is not a good thing. had a another flote bowl on it before which then feed the carb

Just been talking with Te Puke club members and we are good to go. (excuse my paranoia but right up to the point I get there I worry about it)

Noise and Nylon.. enough said I think.

Sign in from about 10 Saturday. No entries after 11:30am would be nice. (If you arrive late you will have to wait while practice is on)

Anyone keen on scruitineering machines and nylon at the meeting would be appreciated. (someone really nasty with a violent temper would be great)

$20 day licence, $20 timing, $50 entry (sorry entry up $10 to cover costs, still more laps than a MotoGP test session!!!)

Entry form available to fill out prior to arrival if that helps.

I'm really keen for this but I'm not about to even attempt it with the annoyingly loud exhaust I currently have on the FXR. Steve is likely to black flag me straight away. Currently working on a solution with fingers crossed!

Ya big woofters! We are gonna stay at my olds in Rotovegas on the Fri night. I am sure that we could ask them nicely if they wouldn't mind a van full of yokels staying the night if the track isn't open on Fri night. Let us know....

God dam weather; first time in a long time I'd wish it would bloody rain (just a little bit).
I'm stuck trying to find water for farmers and town supply's; as well as recording the lowest river flows in 30 years.

Have a great weekend chaps (and chapets). Have a couple of Ports for me and I'll catch you at Easter.

P.S. has anyone seen the points status?

Was another cracker of a weekend. Turnout was pretty poor though. Hopefully numbers are back up at Roy's Hill in two weeks, cool track and the first time we get to race there in what seems like two years.

Another outstanding weekend, Thanks again to everybody involved:clap:
Reagan was again on fire with all 3 wins and a lap record, I managed to finish 2nd in all 3 races but Lee from Taumaranui pushed me all the way before breaking the engine at the end of race 2, Hard luck award has to go to Brian after he set a blinding lap in qualifying to be 3rd on the grid and then the bike would not run Sunday morning. Such a shame the numbers were down, you all missed another weekend of great camping, socializing and racing..

What a weekend and what an amazingly fun and beautiful track! Cheers to all that organised and helped out.
I was very surprised to see such a low number of riders but hey we still had fun.
My old man got some cool photos so I'll put a few up in the photo thread I have going. Hopefully see you all at the next one :drinknsin

Easily fixed...

The skinny rims don't help either, they have a good amount of grip but they give me the shits!

Thanks again Steve and Co. for well run event. Superb weather and tight racing made this another memorable couple of days.

Need more numbers for Roys Hill to really make the last Round one to remember, other then that comment, Buckets are kicking ass as usual!

Apart from finding a beleagured TL Suzuki and his bag of orange goodies (was this Santa?) trying to find a broken ignition wire on his bike in Rotorua (hope you got home safely), I hope you all got home safely with stories to tell, and relatively few bruises! :2thumbsup

Videos to come over next few days.

It's all about betting on how long it will take me to repair the MB.
I may not get it done in time.
If the MB is going to take too long it would be better to spend the time on refining a few rougher points on the FXR to use that instead.

To be fair it already had more punctuation than all your posts put together :Pokey:

I've got the bearings out, ready for a run to the bearing shop. Just need to get some main bearings at the same time. The RS rims could end up on either bike...

The standard RS spacer circlipped in is the right size/close enough. Add a 20mm spacer and your done. Same axle size as the fxr. Well front done..

Rear's a bit more difficult...

I'll make up a couple of spacers with the circlip system to suit each bike.

The brake disc may be a prob, I'm yet to work all that out.

Hmm, sprockets, maybe time to convert everything to 415 or whatever RS size is, no; that's not going to work for the interchangeability I love. Gosh, maybe I'll sort a few custom rear sprockets, I'll have to think about that one.

Just like to thank the guys running Te Puke, excellent track and great people, thanks for letting us run the sidecars, it was a blast.

Hopefully next time we run there we might have a few more rigs.

Also just wondering if any one noticed that both chairs ran all day with no pushing around the track... Who says rigs aren't reliable... Mind you a certain some one did try and alter my steering angle by testing the spring in the crash barriers.
