Need a little feedback here, being a newbie and mainly an old Honda rider, looking at a gixxer 750, 91, 45000kms, $5500, very tidy, very well looked after, new sproket, chain, tyres. Full power model.
Does this sound like a deal?:Punk:

Don't know if I can be bothered with fixing it all up, plus I'm in Jafaland, Bike in Wellington?
IMG code is off, so I guess I can't include jpeg's?

Yip ya can.
P.s. There was a 96 gixxer750 on trademe that had a $5.5k reserve. So yeh that is a bit much for that old bike.

Joke
Nelson Mandela is sitting at home watching TV and drinking a beer
when he
hears a knock at the door. When he opens it, he is confronted by a
little
Chinese man, clutching a clip board and yelling, "You Sign! You sign!"
Behind him is an enormous truck full of car exhausts.
Nelson is standing there in complete amazement, when the Chinese man
starts to yell louder, "You Sign! You sign!"
Nelson says to him, "Look, you've obviously got the wrong man", and
shuts the door in his face.
The next day he hears a knock at the door again. When he opens it, the
little Chinese man is back with a huge truck of brake pads. He thrusts
his clipboard under Nelson's nose, yelling, "You sign! You sign!"
Mr Mandela is getting a bit hacked off by now, so he pushes the little
Chinese man back, shouting: "Look, go away! You've got the wrong man.
I don't want them!" Then he slams the door in his face again.
The following day, Nelson is resting, and late in the afternoon, he
hears a knock on the door again. On opening the door, there is the same
little Chinese man thrusting a clipboard under his nose, shouting,
"You sign!
You sign!" Behind him are TWO very large trucks full of car parts.
This time Nelson loses his temper completely. He picks up the little
man by his shirt front and yells at him: "Look, I don't want these! Do
you understand? You must have the wrong name! Who do you want to
give these
to?"
The little Chinese man looks very puzzled, consults his clipboard, and
says:
(It's a beauty wait for it)
(Get your best Chinese accent ready)
"You not Nissan Main Dealer?"

YOUD BE BETTER OFF ON A ZZR1100 OF THE SAME YEAR , AND I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT EVEN A 92 OR 93 BLADE FOR THAT MONEY.
THE C RANGE OF ZZRS ARE GOOD EVEN WITH HIGH KS ON THEM , THE FIRST BLADES WAS RAW, AND I REALLY HATE HONDAS BUT THE EARLY 90S WERE NOT GOOD FOR SUZUKIS.
96 GSXR750T IS A GREAT BIKE AND NOW REASONABLY PRICED

750 TEND TO LAST BETTER THAN MOST 600S CAUSE THEY DONT GET CANED AS MUCH , REALLY STRETCH TO A GSXR750 T OR V MODEL.
I SOLD A ZX9 C1 (98) WITH A FULL AKRAPOVIC RACE SYSTEM AND A WHOLE HEAP OF SPARES FOR $5000 , SO THERES GOTTA BE BETTER BUYS THAN WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT

Were you not warned? When you're replying to anything winja posts, leave alot of spaces between the words, it's like talking slowly, he's not deaf, just dumb. Go for a tidy honda fireblade, email Robyn at honda riders club (via the bluewing honda site, and she'll fill you in on the extra stuff you get if you go honda (and join the club), like cheaper insurance (I save about $400 a year by going through the club), also you'll be invited to honda track days and be insured while on the track, and heaps of other stuff.

91 GSXR750, Full Pwr, 47kliks, New Chain, Sproket, Rear disc, rear tyre & screen, very tidy condition. Even the fairings very tidy for its age.
Probably could've hunted round for something a little cheaper, but all in all a good buy.
Once I get the current work project monkey off my back, hopefully join the Kb's on a trip outta jafaville. Cheers to Drunken Monkey for his advice :Punk:

91 gsx600 off trademe for a grand. No plates and needs vinning but very tidy. $5k is way off the mark. I would be wanting a bike younger than 7 years for $5k and believe it or not that means a 98 or better. It seems funny with the turn of the century. 90 something year bike just sound like they were new yesterday but remember, it is 2005 now.

Fair call, I knew I paid a premium, however I don't gotta do nothing but stick my fat arzz on the seat and point said missile in the right direction. I wanted a Gixxa 7 fiddy anyways! Good luck with the crab!

I got this beast from TSS Cycles in Wellington. They did plenty for me, got a pre inspection done, emailed me shite loads of pics, replaced lots of bits and arranged to get it transported to Jafaville.
The gentleman's name was Fergus, so any Wellies looking for a bike, or even other KB's round the land, Give Fergus a call, I can recommend him.
Cheers Fergus.:Punk:
