Reluctant sale.
Kawasaki ZZR1100 (ZX11) D5 model.
Just serviced and has brand new metz Z8 tires fitted, also just fitted paging alarm system, running lights and Oxford heated grips.
Comes with service history for past 5 years or so from previous owner.
Last service, mechanic said the original honing marks still visible in the cylinder bores - a real minter.
Has a larger screen than original - perfect for long trips and Ventura headlight protector.
Just had front brake fluid replaced.
Spent most of it's life in Blenhiem and owned by an guy in his 50's who rarely rode it and had it for many years. He always took it to the same mechanic for servicing and spared no expense!
Whats wrong:
Rego just ran out, last month I think. Front left brake rotor is ever so slightly warped but not really noticeable.
PM me if you want to know anything else.

Really?
Did he have the head off during the service?

A very nice example and reasonably priced IMO for it's condition. You do go through these bikes eh Dan? Have you had every colour yet?

Having seen this bike in the flesh, I would say that it is a fine example.
Good luck with the sale

Tipene's starting to show his true colours, Crazy.
Considering I sold my '93 D1 model with twice (at least) the mileage, no service history and in well used (thrashed) condition only 2 years ago for $4,500, Disco's price based on appearance alone is very reasonable. The ZZR11 is still a sought after model whereas the ZZR1200 was and always be a less desirable "orphan" that one can only presume was an attempt at filling a gap that the ZX12-R didn't fill and remained vacant until the release of the '14.
But don't take my word for it, Crazy Steve is obviously the resident expert here. Can you still be considered a resident anything once you've been banned though?

True. Any machine is only worth what someone wants to pay for it. If it sells at $5500 then to someone it was worth it. How this is fucking the used mc market I am unable to comprehend.

Because 13years ago this bike was almost the same price at $5.5k and it was only 3years old then.

So what? You seem to have missed my point mate. If someone is willing to pay that, then that is what it is worth.

Tough crowd!
$5k for a 11 with only 23,000 on it strikes me as reasonable pricing. It is a lot of bike for little coin.
Strip all the crap off and it would make a nice naked ..........
I was unaware the used bike market was 'fucked' - someone explain as it appears pretty healthy to me. If you have to drop $15- 25k to by a new bike then the used market adjusts to suit. In fact if you buy that 11 for $5, spend a extra $2k with Mr Taylor on swedish gold you'll have a tourer set for the next decade.
Bore inspection - a cool tool to pop down the plug hole. Technology at work.
Good luck with the sale.

Now that's funny, surely those inspection devices are bullshit ! Would it not be pitch black in the bore ? You would not be able to see anything.
I think Disco Dan has some explaining :girlfight:

I was at a meeting recently in a nearby cave and somebody showed me this fucked up thing called a light, it was a small LED on a stick used with a bore inspection cam.

TUI !! don't buy a cheap one then. It's much easier and faster to pop one down the bores of race cars than rip the heads off in a 1 hour service.

Oh ffs - there usually is a little light built into it. Seriously do you think they didnt think of that? I've used them to inspect components so we don't need to strip shit out and even had a medical one stuffed down my throat and unlike you, I dont think the sun shines out of my arse and despite it being plenty dark down there, guess what - it had a little light and you could see pretty well down there... so at one point I guess the light really DID shine out of MY arse... (it was a long way down)
If you want to try one - supercrap has them for $50 this week... Hell of a bargain....

No fucking shit it has a light you fucking WOMBLE !! What I'm saying is any decent mechanic wouldn't use one to asses the bore condition.
No FCK off and get back under your rock WANKER !!
