View Full Version : The female species

Got a question for other female riders out there.....
We are slightly different in that we love bikes, hanging with other bikers, and get on well with the male species....And its soo much easier having male friends cos they aren't as catty as some females!
If friendships are friendships, and ya single biker mates get a new "woman" if that new woman they see you as a threat......(and seriously dislikes ya) what do you do?
I wont change for anyone, treat my friends as family and have nothing to hide, or do "secret friendships" with guys....

So... Bit confused about what perspective you are writing this from? Symbol says you are a guy but the thread sounds like female perspective. Care to set the record straight a bit?
If you are a chick, then yes girls always get jealous of other girls although usually they get over it.
If you are a guy, you are being overly emotional and are leading innocent readers into thinking you are a chick.

My experience in such matters is she is unlikely to change her attitude towards you. If he becomes or is already fuck struck, watch for the bike to be replaced by a car in the near future. Seen it happen all to often I'm afraid.
I know it sounds cynical, but I lost 3 riding buddies in a similar way, all 3 times went like... Biker guy meets girl, she is attracted to exciting edgy slightly bad boy biker guy, even professes to loooove bikes. Once the poor sap got fuck struck, out came the sell bike and get a car/upgrade current car requests. Once the car has replaced bike, guy loses exciting edgy slightly bad boy biker buzz and she gets bored, then it's dump de doo. Where upon he plummets like a stone with the expensive HP finance boat anchor round his neck. As a result I have a strict policy of telling prospective partners, don't ever ask me to choose between you and bikes, because your not going to like the answer.

As you know, Same here, I have always had a road and dirt bike simultaneously since my teens. You may remember my 1st partner, I gave her the "Don't make me choose" speech straight after the 1st time she told me she loved me lol. To her credit she never did, and supported me spending ridiculous amounts of money on racing, but then I did reward her by buying her a brand new one of these below, I know you would approve GAMMA Guy :headbang: (and very handy she was on it too!)

Don't kid yourself. Behind every 'special' relationship between a single woman and a bloke who is attached there is one thing for certain. The bloke is thinking about banging you* More likely than not though nothing will happen, but it you want to be a true friend to him flash him a bit of flesh now and again for his next wank or when he is getting it on with the Mrs. He knows it, she certainly knows it which is why she sees you as a threat. It is something deep down in our genes that you cannot alter so I wouldn't worry about it. Just a watch a few more nature programmes to see how it is in the RW.

Got a question for other female riders out there.....
:weep:R
Lemme get this straight.
1. So you are a girl even though your profile says guy...
2. You fancy the bike riding neighbour and so get into bikes so as to have common interests.
3. The neighbour is blind to all your subtle moves and some other chick gets her paws on him.
4. You then crash your car to get some sympathy, but even that doesn't work.
5. Girlfriend gives you the evils, she's prolly just cross eyed.
6. You ask for "agony aunt" advice on KB?......
Wtf, conclusion you are definitely a lesbo.

Seriously.
Your a biker, your an adult, your in a group of mates who have been mates for years.
Your lives at times depend upon this friends ship and trust when you are out riding togeather.
There is no room for jealousy,
Years and years ago, before the PC brigade arrived, that was how it was dealt with.
The new girls on the block either accepted the status quo as it was, or got a slapping..

I would have to agree with this...mostly. And to be honest who gives a fark if that is the case, her issues not yours, and carry on as you were (EASY OPTION).
However, if said Little Miss Jealous and Insecure Pants makes it your issue by throwing a tantie and not letting your male friend spend time/ride with you, then play adults (THE BEHAVE LIKE ADULTS OPTION). Have a chat with her, see if you can find out why she hates your guts, and see if you can alleviate some of her insecurities by explaining your side. And if that doesn’t work…see THE FUN OPTION.

Hm, don't think you can do much anyway. It all comes down to how your friend reacts. Does he even notice that she has issues with you and did he talk to her about it yet?
Anyway, for me it is always a warning signal if my friends don't like the new guy or don't get along with him. So far they always have been right

:weep:
I don't think that makes us slightly different to like bikes or blokes? Does it make guys slightly different too?
People with common interests often enjoy each others company, thats why we have clubs, cults and small towns
I get on with people regardless of gender, have a reasonably balanced spread of friends who ride and don't, who have degrees, hammers, culinary skills, kids, pets, etc
Generally if someones partner views you as a threat, you are possibly just an asshole they don't like, someone their partner is attracted to, someone who they see as having blurred boundaries or a complete slapper.... not sure which one/s you are?
Good luck working it out, for me its generally because I don't like them and am being an asshole : )
If I make it uncomfortable for the partner of one of my friends, I assume that will limit the amount of time they want to spend with me. If I am an asshole to their partner, I risk my friendship.
If they friends worth keeping I might adjust my behaviour, if they aren't ....

We see everything.
Is your arse that fat it is its own entity, and theres you as the other? thus being the definition of "we?"

:weep:
OH Lordy, this is so not exclusive to the biker world. What is it with some females? I'm with you on the males are better to be friends with than females, enough of the ugly in the world without adding to it. Since time began females have had a part of their brain either never formed or formed wrong. Quite dysfunctional, no need for it. I've found that even some of my 'best' friends over the years get all stupid when I'd spend longer than five minutes conversing with their man. Geez, this is one situation I steer clear of on every level, for me, it's the bike, the horse and the dog. People, they're so over-rated.

Women often suffer low self esteem and feel their mate will find someone better that they deserve. My wife was like that and in the early times I felt I had to walk with my eyes down in case I looked at another woman. It took many years to convince her she was my wife because I loved her and that she was worth loving. I think now, as we count down to our 36th Anniversary next October, she is happy and secure.
Certainly the male is crucial to helping this and needs patience and understanding.

Nice to see your insight has not changed. Low self esteem goes so far to explain these situations. Some females are just plain bitches and do more of the 'pissing in the corner' to mark their terrority than the local stray dog.
