I need some new gloves, looking for longer ones that go further than just your wrist (so the sleeves of your jacket go in them - does that make sense?).
Any that you recommend for adventure riding?

I use Dri Rider Pro gloves. found them pretty duarble and they have excellent protection; cost about $100.00 from memory. I do carry a pair of MX gloves in my jacket for anything too knarly as my hands get too hot with the big ones.

I bought some Held Air n Dry gloves which have a two chamber system, one with a goretex liner (the dry) and one without (the air). Haven't ridden in the wet enough to verify their claimed waterproofedness but very comfortable, excellent protection, and ventilation wise they are excellent. The palm is perforated so it flows a ton of air if you're in the air chamber. There's also vents on the fingers and knuckle protectors. The liner must be very thin because there's not much noticeable difference between the two chambers, fit wise.
Google 'em. Circa $200NZD from a certain German shop.

Thank you
I have sent you a PM. Looking at the reviews they imply that they are they a summer glove, do you have any comments on their warmth?

I've had them since October so only been riding in warmer weather since then. I have hand guards that keep the worst of the wind off but don't have heated grips. With that in mind, on the colder Wellington days, using the goretex chamber does keep the rest of the wind\cold out very nicely.
Revzilla advertise them as a 3 season glove, possibly more if you have heated grips. Personally I like the fact they're so thin, you can really feel the controls.

Hi,
I recently bought some alpine stars 365 because I wanted a few specific things. I hate when gloves have a loose liner as when wet and you pull your hand out, sometimes the liner and stuffing gets messed up and you cant get your fingers back in properly....very annoying.
I wanted goretex for water proofing, not sure how good they will bday after hours and hours of heavy rain but so farm they're staying dry.
They are a all year glove so they compromise warmth, not to hot in summer, a bit cool for winter but they cope.
Wanted solid stitching, armour, real leather so they don't melt when you touch hot stuff.
Well made , good fit..I like them.
Expensive but if I had bought them upfront, I probably would not have gone through the learning curve of buying all the cheaper gloves.

It is unlikely you'll find a pair of gloves that suit all conditions ... all year round. And dangerous to expect summer gloves to keep you warm in winter. It often pays to have more than one pair of gloves with you on a ride. Getting wet gloves ... half an hour from home ... on a weekend ride is never fun.

I've had Alpine-star (gore-tex) $310 now have Revit (gore-tex) under $200 (welly m/c) either pair will keep out the weather in all conditions & keep ya hands warm & dry, I use them for adventure riding, but you would need to buy summer gloves as your hands tend to get hot
& only use leather conditioner on them (gore-tex) or you will turn them into a gumboot

I bought some cheap orina gloves when I got my bike, they were less than 100 bucks, they're nice and warm and they have had some light contact with the road and come through without damage. I also use dririder fingerless gloves when it's hot, they don't offer much protection but they offer some abrasion resistance and make it possible to use my phone or adjust my jacket zips. Probably not recommended though, I have seen full gloves that work on touch screens, Icon makes some.
