Taking advantage of all this water we are saving that usually goes down the drain, we have managed to get to a point where we have "spare" water. I can't stand the thought of it going to waste now, so this morning I went and bought some more plants for some pots that I never planted in this summer. I also bouhgt some jiffy pots to propogate some saved seeds and some PB 3/4's to plant them out into when they are big enough. I am happily filing pots and planting things and Maha is in the house pottering as you do. He comes to the kitchen window, look straight at me and says "dirt bag" and wanders off!

Cheek of it!

Turns out he was just reading out loud :innocent:

The Pb 3/4 pack I bought had the brand name "Dirt Bag" :devil2:

We will negotiate the punishment

How rude! In fact rude is not a strong enough word for that.:nono:
Please tell him he is in trouble with me, and I will deal to him when we next meet..also tell him it may not be pleasant!

Brussel sprouts -couple of months, Broccoli about the same. Lettuces a couple of weeks till leaves start picking. Silverbeet, just as soon as I can start tasking leaves off

The dirt bags are for some purple capsicum seeds I want to strike and then grow on, I am having a competition witha friend to see who can get the first purple capsicums to eat :blip:

Some of us have a metabolism that digests these beautiful veges without the noxious fumes that some seem to suffer :innocent:

If not, suck it up and suffer baby :ar15:

You can re-pot some house plants into bigger pots ... and plant selected vegies in them as well. Herbs do well ... but all the usual vege patch plants can be grown. A sunny sheltered spot on the patio can be a good place for a few different tomato varieties.

Noice! I planted a money maker too...

Bet the light hours defeat me for fruiting this season, still it wil be well ahead at the start of next :blip:

I probably should have mentioned I used to make a living from this sort of thing :dodge:

A UV light bulb in the right place will do wonders ...

And so did I.

I've just planted in some celery and will be doing more spinach ... tomatoes are fruiting well and I've been eating cherry tomatoes every day. Sweet corn hasn't done as well, just one ear of corn per stalk (albeit they were planted late!) but still sweet, tender and juicy.

Your garden looks amazing from what I have seen of it. Next year plant lots of corn in a clump. They like to cuddle up
