Hi there,
I am new to this forum and hail from deep dark jungle of Borneo.
To be exact, actually I am a Malaysian who is 'lost' and stayed in Brunei .
I am planning to head down to NZ for a 2 weeks holiday by year end ( early December 13'),
And maybe meet up some of you guys and gals from a cuppa coffee or tea along the way.
Initial plans will be start from North Island and then the South Island.
NZ always amazed me with, seen those beautiful landscape on pics and now I wanna experience the real stuffs myself.
I will be glad if someone here can suggest who and which company I can rent a bike from and with reasonable pricing structure.
Stayed in touch, and have a great ride, everyday.

A few bike rental places which you will find on google but I don't think they will be cheap.Allow plenty of time to cover both islands as they are so many amazing roads to ride and sights to see.
Post your likely itinary on here and you will get plenty of offers from kbers to join you for a ride/coffe/whatever.

People have been quite helpful to me around here so far so i'm sure it will pick up :P
I will be traveling for a couple of months so will be looking into either buying or shipping my own bike because renting is just way too expensive in the long run.
In my research i came across some sites for rental:
http://motorcyclerentals.gotournz.com/
http://www.bikeroundoz.com/self_guided_tours/melbourne_to_darwin.asp
Maybe you can also take a look at the ADV forum if they can help you on there as well. :)

competition is not very strong in NZ and everything motorbike is very expensive compared to the rest of the world. Start from there.
