Hey guys,
I've been in email contact with Bunty from Classic Hits FM. He's just got back into biking, and has just bought a Suzuki Boulevard 800. I'll try to get him on the KB site soon!
A friend of his had his bike stolen in Hamilton last weekend. It's a Honda Shadow 1100 with side-car. Has anyone seen anything of it? A pretty distinctive bike! I've attached a flyer that Bunty emailed to me.
Cheers

Yeh I had this flyer emailed to work and heard it a few hours earlier yesterday. Apparently the guy is gutted and is going to go hard publicly until he gets his pride and joy back.

Bummer, I saw that bike ages back and was admiring it. Fortunately I would recognise it again if I saw it - will keep an eye out for it (though I doubt they would be wandering around with such a distinctive bike in broad daylight).
Fucking toe-rags who stole it, hope they cock-up and get caught.

Who the hell would thinnk that a combo would be stolen. I mean the thief would have to know how to ride a sidecar, for a start

That sucks, why do these lowlifes steal bikes they can't possibly use? Sidecars are very high on my radar,if I see it,I'll see it....I'm sure his insurance will cover a few scratches....and blood washes off with water.

cold water.
and iodine, and hydrogen peroxide, and a wire brush - -this is the blood we're "washing" off the perp right?
Tell Bunty's mate that the vigilante gene just activated all over the country. Just kidding, but the Bunty's mate obviously had a requirement for an outfit. It is pretty close to stealing a van converted into a disability mobility vehicle.

Actually, we were talking 'bout getting the blood stains off the bike and 'car, but I like your plan, too...

Thank you to all of you who are out there looking for our motorbike and sidecar. We have advertised on the radio, have had a bulletin on TV1 and TV3, advertised in the Stolen-Lost website and have sent many emails to a number of organisations. To simply say the loss of our motorbike and side car is gutwrenching would be understated. Much time and love has gone into the bike and my wife and I, a.ong with our two young children and often our Cow Chow dog, have traveled the length of the country on a number of occasions. Motorcycle riders are a wonderful and empowering group of people of which we have had the pleasure of meeting a number of over the years. We want to continue to do this and will endeavour to follow every avenue in our pursuit to finding our motorbike and sidecar. I am proactive and encouraged by your kind words and caring attitude. Although we may not all ride the same make of bikes, or even the same number of wheels attached to our bikes, we remain as a network of like minded individuals seeking to find solace and empowerment in the open rode. I have always wanted my familly to be involved in my love for motorcycles, hence the reason for the sidecar. Please if you have any information about our motorcycle and sidecar or if you see or hear anything please let me know. I thank you all, and along with my wife and two children, we hope to meet you all when our motorbike and sidecar is returned. I thank you. Micheal

The bike's owner has emailed me updated photos, these are attached. He also asked that I pass on his thanks to KB'ers for their vigilance, which may yet help him get his beloved bike back.
Cheers :ride:

Glad to see you've joined us here, we will keep you company until you get that lovely machine back. This is a great site, a bit "rough and ready" at times, but some really nice people.
We're all glad to do what we can.

Room-mate reckons that he saw one of your flyers in our mailbox. He'll be looking for it aswell though he's not the most observant when it comes to bikes.

Welcome to the KB gargre, Micheal and family - I wish it were under better circumstances.
We got your flyer in our letter box and I also saw the pics here. I saw your bike and admired it ages back and it saddens me that some bastards would take it from you. Once seen, never forgotten, tho', so if I see it anywhere around I'll let you know.
All the best getting it back.

It is pretty close to stealing a van converted into a disability mobility vehicle.
This was done to a veteran (paraplegic) in Rodney recently, then the fuckers burnt it out.
There is no limit to what they will do. :oi-grr:

It sounds harsh, but I reckon once you've done something like that, you should lose the privilege (however dubious) of being called "Human". Straight to the pet food cannery and dropped in the smallest, slowest mincer in the place, and then canned as dog tucker. People without empathy or compassion aren't people at all.

Just a question mate, have you got it back yet? Saw a shadow with side car just up at the round-about up the road from my house. I was headed off tword cobham drive and he was going the other way. Had a side car but I couldn't see the side car to well to be sure if it was yours or not. The Shadow itself had the same colouring though..

It was on Sunday at about noon.
The rider was on Cobham drive in the que (sp) for the roundabout at cambridge road.the one without the burger king on it.
I was headed the other way so didn't see the bike in too much detail.
