Hey there

Just been offered a 2001 triumph 955i, 30,000 miles on the clock, serviced, wofd, rego etc

Looks mint and it's off a friend, so it's all good. He wants 5k for it? Now I don't know if this is reasonable, a bargain or too much?

Any advice would be appreciated. Also what are parts like for triumphs out here?pricey?

Cheers

Rich

Ah sorry didn't put model. It's the sprint, uk import, been here a few years. Had it all striped out and cleaned by motorcycle dr (I think it was him) a few months back.

Seems like a bargain then by the sounds of it!

Good choosing...sold my 02' Sprint in 2008 with 40,000 mlies on the clock....got $9K cash for it http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/75071-Maha-s-Triumph-for-sale?highlight=Maha+Triumph+sale

Here is a list of what I spent on it in 07' (tyres could have been excluded but they're on the list because the ones on when I bought it where poked)

Jan 07....New Brakes.....$340.55
Apr 07.... Ohlins fitted front and rear....$2797.02
June 07....Stepper Motor and Housing....$520.99
Aug 07....New rear tyre (pilot road)....$320 approx (no invs)
Nov 07....New Chain and Sprockets....$346

Grand total of $4324.56

Performance bike mag have been modding 1 as a race bike for the past year.

Ended up far removed from stock, but has potential to become a beast.

They have the final artical in the current edition in your local magazine shop right now
