Hey yall,
Just to satisfy my nosy tendancies will you please answer me 2 things?.
A) What is your dream bike? - The one you could have if money was no object.
B) What is the bike you are currently working towards? - what is your goal for the moment.
For example mine would be.
A) Triumph T-Bird storm with aftermarket Pipes and Z bars (amongst some other mods)
B) Triumph Speedmaster (odd name for a cruiser dont ya think)

Dunno .. I'm still enjoying the ones I currently own ... Maybe Harley 1200 '72 ?? I like the old school styling .. but I'd put lower bars on it ... I would kinda like to own a harley before I die ...
Maybe a BSA Rocket Three ???
Maybe a BSA Gold Star (yeah ... I'd probably go classic rather than modern ...)
B) What is the bike you are currently working towards? - what is your goal for the moment.
A Suzui GS1200SS - I like the Bandit engine and how it produces power .. and I like the cafe racer style .. in the GS1200 you get both ... and I would tart it up a bit with a custom paint job and some goodies ... change the pipes, wave brake rotors .. yoshi cams .. big carbs ...
For example mine would be.

Names are from Triumph's meridan history ... but yes, Speedmaster seems strange for what is basicaly a cruiser

I'm really happy with my YX600 right now, but in the future, I wouldn't mind a Monster or a Street Triple.

I would swap my XJR for an MT-01 tomorrow.
Never ridden one, but a chap on one pulled up next to me in traffic the other day and the sound was amazing, looked horn too.

A) What is your dream bike? - The one you could have if money was no object
All of them. One day I will own a massive wear house somewhere, full with every kind of motorbike you can imagine, and my own private race track to ride them all on. For a fee, I may let people look through the window.
B) What is the bike you are currently working towards? - what is your goal for the moment.
Anything. I usualy just wait untill I decide I have enough money/need to buy another bike, then buy the best one I can find at the time for the money I have, and park up the old one. Although, it would be cool if I could aford a black ZX14, that thing is sex on wheels.

Maybe I'm just really easy to please or have low expectations.
But I'd really love to have either an NC30 VFR400 or an NC35 RVF 400. I love the classic look of em, and having a bike that has some go-juice but you can still give it shit and remain (mostly) legal really appeals. Plus, that v-4 sound and single sided swing arm :drool: :not::not: :love::love:
I'd also like to own a litre bike one day (waaaaaaaay in the future). Something really appeals about something that mental
Definitely saving my pennies and working towards either of the 400s. The RVF is even LAMS approved :first:

Dream bike? Money no object? My GSXR1000 stripped down and rebuilt with the all new bits I considered I needed plus any other aftermarket goodies I haven't already got.
Bike I'm working towards? The bike above.
I get kind of attached to my bikes. I'll never get rid of this one, and I can't begin to think of what I could [shudder] replace it with. I did mention to some friends recently that I could be tempted to replace it though with an SP2, but quickly retracted that statement. It made me feel a little ill.

Current bikes are both Triumph.
Happy with the Adventurer just as it is,,but I think it's a silly name for a road bike an should of gone to the other Triumph which was also misnamed as the Tiger.
The Saint is simply what it is but I'd really like the real NZ MOT fairing one day.
Next bike which is not a dream an I'm not working toward it as such because when I decide the time is right I'll simply buy it.
It's a Triumph T160 Trident that currently belongs to a good friend but will be mine the day I want it.

Dream bike? Dunno... maybe:
Suzuki GSX650FU (come on, it even says FU!)
or Kawasaki 2013 Ninja 650 LAMS
or Honda 2013 CB500F
or Hyosung ST7L EFI LAMS
or pretty much anything once I get my full. It's really hard to say until I have been on a few. I still want to give some sportier bikes a go.
Working towards: something like:
Yamaha XJR400R 1994 (tardeme)
or Kawasaki ZX400 1992 (that place)
or Kawasaki ER-5
or Suzuki GS500
or Suzuki DL650 2004 (trademe, once I get my full)

I'm not working towards a new bike, just working towards a rear tyre. My dream is to be able to afford a suspension upgrade.
I'd like to add a KLR650 & HD Road King Custom to the gargre but would be quite content with a new 190/55/17 Metzeler Z8 for now.

Pretty sure im already riding my dream bike even though I wanted a R1 they are just to much damn coin.
Would rather just put a shitload of aftermarket parts in my Busa then spend another 5 years working towards another bike. Once all the the NA mods have been done, go turbo ;)

Dream Bike. Hmm, don't have single one.
I'd like to have the coin to buy a base (say a new Bonnie) and then throw away all the factory shit I donlt want and fabricate/purchase the bits I do want and make it into what I think a (Bonnie) should be.
Heck I'd be happy to strip the plastic shit of a CBR1000rr and naked that beast with upright bars, custom pipe etc etc etc.
But if we are dreaming I'd need the cash to start the next one after I had finished the first (are you ever really finished?).
Working towards? Nothing - I am realistic about my $ and bloody lucky to even have one now. I did add some rim stripes last week!

B) Yamaha RD250E. Currently rebuilding the top end, replacing swinging arm bushings and giving the old gal a nice clean up before the compliance test.
