Having a bad experience previously with Motorcycle Doctor I was stoked to find Jon - http://powerof2motorcycles.weebly.com/index.html | https://www.facebook.com/PowerOf2Motorcycles. I contacted him yesterday (Thursday) and he was able to come out on Friday which is great service.

Mobile Italian bike specialist and he came to my work in West Aucks today. Did an amazing job and I'm really pleased. He arrived on time and was very thorough with the servicing and did the valve clearance.

I would highly recommend Jon for any bike owners out there particularly Italian bike owners!!!

He has his own workshop in Pukekohe but is mobile also covering all Auckland areas.

Auckland certainly need another mobile mechanic!

Thanks Jon!

''I contacted him yesterday (Thursday) and he was able to come out on Friday''

So not overly busy then?

So what's the difference to being very thorough and exceptionally thorough?

Shouldn't you have been stoked after the service, rather than just finding another motorcycle mechanic? Did he have an advert saying "If Motorcycle Doctor made you sick Jon has the cure" :bleh:

I had a terrible experience with George, and he charged me afterwards.

Hes always looked after my bike though.

Edit:
Since some of you dont understand joking on the internet, or the intertubes themselves, I feel the need to explain my post.
I was joking. As I said, hes always looked after my bike. George rang me thinking id been bitching about him online, due to one of you dimwits (im looking at you eSol).
Hes just done a brilliant job of replacing my bikes cam chain, just in time for easter weekend. Cant recommend him enough.

It's a well known fact that doctors make the worst patients... And some doctors make the patients worse.

Care to share what the bad experience was?

Have used the Motorcycle Doc twice and both times he was a GC through and through.

I've lost count of how many times my wife and I have used George (he even recognises my voice on the phone). I have not one complaint.

Not wishing to cast aspersions on Georges work, but why does you bike need "fixing" so often that you have lost count ?
Unless I am mistaken and you and your wife use him for something else.

Most of the work he's done is regular servicing over the past 5 years or so since we discovered him. Both my wife and I ride for daily transport (don't even own a car or ever use public transport).

He's also replaced parts that have worn out because of the mileage we do. Won't go anywhere else for tyres.

The frequency of this is only going to increase as I'm now commuting 60k each way.

A year ago, my speedo stopped working on my 250 Zeal and I called George. He told me how to find the problem and to order a new cable if it turned out to be a broken cable. As it turned out it was, and I bought a new one and installed it myself.

He could have come to fix that simple thing but didn't want to charge me for something that would take him 5 mins and cost me 50 or 60, so he told me how to do it over the phone and that was that. He even sent me an email a day later to ask me if I found the problem and to let him know if I needed help.

He was probably busy dealing with a run of Warehouse warranty claims.

Oh yes, those! Wonder what the real story behind those were... Gotta ask him next time I see him.

He doesn't touch Harleys either, maybe the same story there too!
