View Full Version : What happened at Kumeu?

Hey KB,

Does anyone actually know the reason Why bikes were banned from the Kumeu car show?

I was at the Beach Hop over last weekend, and there were 1% club members at the bars and walkin around looking at the displays, with no drama.
The Hells Angels even had a stand there selling t-shirts and the like.

From what Ive read in the papers 2013 Beach Hop was one of the most sucessful. So this makes me wonder what actually happened at Kumeu for them to ban bikes?

 Apparently some wanker was tearing up and down the roads there with a backfiring Suzi S40, pissed off the residents and organisers... :Pokey:

I dunno - maybe 'cos its a car show and they had no trouble filling it with cars?

Bikes can look a bit lonely at car shows - but I'd still like to go to a Beach Hop....

Can do.... but they certianly don't at the Beach Hop. They are a big part of the parade, and for the top 10 shootout (overall winner regardless of class) there were 3 bikes this year.

At Kumeu members of a local motorcycle club rode through the crowds and intimidated a lot of people in other ways.

I'm pretty disapointed an pissed off about that.

Who cares why but I hope they aren't allowed back next year too. The 81's hired Meremere for a day instead of going to Kumeu and allowed all brands of bikes to attend. I had a blast!

No, it's the special code that a lot of MC's use these days so to avoid identification by the popo who obviously don't know the alphabet.

I have puzzled this out.

the "code" is 1 = A, 2 = B, 3 = C.... 8 = H' thus

81 = HA which equals Hells Angels?

Where'se my damn chocolate fish?

also: which mensa level intelligence came up with the "Code" its awesome.

Jebus you're a clever cunt, You should be a lawyer or summat. Just don't go telling the popo or there could be consequences.

The 81 is a Trade Mark.

One for the lawyer.

A unique part of HA's branding are the disclaimers. One runs something like:

'The Death Head logo is the registered trade mark of the Hells Angels. If you steal it - we will hunt you down and hurt you.'

Nah, it'll be an alphanumeric cypher, so the numbers come after the letters, so they'll be 83227. I do hope they aren't serious about keeping such codes on the down-low

Do you want to know the reason why bikes were banned from Kumeu? Just thought I'd give the answer before this thread degenerates (as is customary)

One year a biker who just so happened to be the member of a bike club (which one I couldn't care less) was lighting up his dounut inside the show, the bike got away from him and collected a young girl. Shit went down hill from there, the biker was none too popular with the witnesses (almost got pounded to a pulp) and I hear his ride got stolen then and there just to punish the bastard. :bash:

Since then, no bikes.

At least this is what I heard at the show this year whilst chatting with the local wildlife.

There was this one guy, looked all skull like and was generally not known for excellent acting. But anyway, flaming chains flying around, lots of naughty 867239813054s had life drained out of them etc. Didn't you see the documentary about it.

Sent from my enigma machine, with a large hammer.

The times I went - the best bike action was in the car park.

Not entirely unusual at bike events too.

I tried to find a list of maximum sentences for various crimes, no luck yet.
Could make interesting reading, although prob not the full picture.

Maximum sentences are a joke,as the judges listen to the poor me sob stories that I was a abused kid and my father left my mum when I was little then whack them with a wet bus ticket. They should put mandatory sentences in place.

Without getting into that argument it would be interesting to see comparisons on current maximums.
