First off, great news, look forward to it. Good idea with the two clubmans classes. With regards to Clubmans B,how will you determine slower riders on smaller capacity machines when there are some guys capable of running rings around others on larger capacity machines on 600cc machinery. Can you cross enter?

A modern 600 would be entered in A as would a Hayabusa, entries will ask you to nominate A or B grade and initial fields will be done on that & bike entered information. Also fields can be fine tuned after practice if needed.

Would be good if VMCC had 2 classes of clubmans. I would get back into it. At nearly 50 im to old for F1. I have been kicked out of clubbies as of last winter series and have to do F1 or nothing on my 1000. Why go and spend shitloads on tires etc to get lapped by the top F1 guys. Instead i either have to sell my bike, which is not an option as i have spent so much on it i wouldnt even get 1/4 of it back, or do nothing. I chose the latter, but would love to be out there mixing it up with guys doing similar times. So my 1000 is basically now a bloody expensive trackday bike.

Excellent. I either have to haul my arse to Mafeild (which ends up being a 3 day trip with all the expense etc that entails) or park up the bike over winter. This is great.

Three weeks until round 1 and all is coming together well. This Thursday's club night will have display of race bikes from Classics to Supers which combined with the best bar prices in town makes attendance a no brainer for those close to Hamilton. Clubrroms are in Seddon Rd opposite the staduim training ground.

Well spotted Roogazza though in my defence I'll claim were both right. By the time we had the entry form approved for the permit, which was after my initial post, the intermediate class had been renamed junior and what was junior became development/Hyosung cup. Clear as mud really.

You go in JNR mate - pretty easy really, 600SS and Supers together (SNR), F3, Pro Twin and 125 together (JNR).

The Bavarian Tractor circulated at the back of Posties and Clubmans B quite happily and I posted my best time at HD on it.

The dog stayed home to guard the empty shed.
There seemed to be plenty of guys having mechanicals. Steve Bridge had some sort of mechanical in race 1, Chris Bridge had big problems changing down gears in Qualifying and Race 1 then locked the front and threw it into the weeds in Race 2. Nick from NV couldn't change gear. The guy on the KTM in our shed couldn't change gear either. So more than half of the bikes in/just outside our shed had mechanicals or crashed or both.

Results are online at www.marktime.co.nz will sit down with Steve and put up a points table in the next couple of days. Quite a few pics on facebook just search Doug Cornes Photography or JDAS. Thanks for all the positive feedback seems the riders enjoyed it as much as the organisers which is our aim, working on a couple of points for the next round but pretty happy all in all. Also we have just sent the certificates of to Mike Webb (Moto GP Race Director) to get him to find someone famous to sign them. When the Hamilton Club last ran a winter series in the Bay park days Mike was the organiser so it ties in well.

Not at this stage, we decided to give a winter series a go as no one else was. With AMCC & PMCC both running summer series I'm not sure there is the demand for another. Probably look at expanding the winter series to 3 rounds next year at this stage.
