I see on R1 forums that a fix for the lurching on/off type drama when cold can be fixed with a Graves clutch kit.
Any 09-12 owners sourced the 2 judder springs, fibre plate and YEC race springs from your local Yamaha shop instead of
getting the graves kit from the states? if so what was the $$

Apparently it does, to the average.......however was talking to Brian Bernard Racing who race the R1 crossplane, he's changed fried clutches between races........
Clutch parts (2 judder springs and fibre plate) cost around $40, but the YEC springs cost a fortune, barnett springs cheaper.
Will give it a shot.......

Did some reading...
Apparently springs and plates can be used from 07 to 08 clutch pack and are cheaper.
A lot oguys order the graves kit but use the stock springs as otherwise it makes the clutch lever harder.
Will see how I go after first service and then possibly order graves kit.
Just flashed my ecu installed pcv and y pipe and will have a dyno tune shortly...

Hey dude who flashed ya ecu?
Also I just got a MJC y pipe, and the bloody hole for the O2 Sensor is a bigger thread than the thread on the bikes???
Re the Graves kit, it is essencially the 08 clutch parts minus the YEC springs, so ya better just ordering from the local Yamaha shop. About $40 all up.
YEC springs cost a fotune though, people on the R1 site recommended using 3 yec, 3 stock.........

where are you based - i purchased the tool to flash my ecu.. i have the Flash tune module and a tune done between me and a german guy .. pulled 168.7 RWHP in nz and he pulled 171.5 in Germany....
only down side is losing the immobilser but thats not anything to quible about....
hell if your in chch ill do it for a beer or help with suspension.
if your elswhere and can live without your ecu for a few days ship it and i'll flash it.
yeah my m4 y pipe has an adaptor as well nearly through that out.. just remeber to use anti sieze greece on it or it will never come off again (dissimalr metals tend to corrode and bond)
i also have an autotune kit for a pcv here as well if ya needed it.. the autotune uses a bigger wide band sensor which is why most pipe have that and an adaptor to the smaller stock one.
