Why does the news do this? What has her addictions got to with the fact she was eaten alive by dogs? I really don't understand why the news has to try sling mud at victims of horrid stuff. :motu:

In thought it was disgusting too, but maybe she wandered into the secure dog area while drunk or high?
Maybe a bit like those people who go into the zoo enclosures to pat the lion and get mauled.
Might be more to the story but still, why humiliate her family like that?:oi-grr:

Her father appeared to be quite candid about it. Why did he talk about it? To the media, no less?
If I knew stuff about my family that I didn't want published, I sure as hell wouldn't be sharing it with a journo.

I know dogs sometimes get funny when they sense someone is out of it. Like my dog doesn't like drunks but she doesn't go aggro she hides from them and barks if they get in her space...
But the "News" is pretty disgusting. I know people with addictions and they not any less of a person and any less loved. I know people who HAD addictions myself included.
I feel like they almost trying to say "Oh she was high therefore she was mauled to death, her fault case closed!"

An oversimplification there. The media are renowned for presenting things in the most attention-grabbing and sensationalist way. However some people would be interested to know that she was high as a kite and perhaps contributed in some way to her fate, as opposed to, I don't know, say, a toddler at the park who is mauled by some random dog out in a public place. Just sayin'.

hes possibly an aspie too and doesnt understand the evil world either....
her 'addictions' were possibly due to an autistic difference....
that has received no medical support or even personal awareness of....
many suffering aspies are lost to themselves and develop addictions....:innocent:
they just want the anguish to stop but it dont till they awake to their neurological difference as a person
currently all humans are the same:facepalm:
societies denial of difference causes much suffering for everyone, but especially those are are more different compared to no different or only a little different
maori women have high suicide
maori women with aspies have higher suicide
maori women with the aspies and who are very tall and thin with a long face would have even higher suicide

Because it ups the page hits when people on forums link to the news article and raises their advertiser's profile. Always expect the worst in behaviour from anyone selling anything.

I doubt that he was in the best frame of mind to be talking to the media.
It's disgusting when they ambush someone at their weakest moment.
