I've just brought one and are rather keen to get as many comments regarding the NSR (any year) as possible. Who owns one here? Can I get a manual for it and what are the issues regarding these 2 strokes? I was told my frogman that they are a V3, similar to a MVX, but when I searched the net I read that they are V twins. Oh, and for those who want to :Pokey: I also was trying to purchase a sooooooki RGV 250, but the dude with the NSR just emailed me and said its all mine  Now I can do my bit for the environment :nono: and keep up a bit better when I ride with my friends  err well, those who let me...

1987 NSR250, I think it was a MC16, it was pretty cool, but I was too tall for it, sore wrists and stuff.
It was pretty quick for a 250, faster than my mates KR1S, even two up it was tolerable.
The tiny headlight was crap!
I got it at 17000kms, and hammered it hard until 27000 kms, when I got lucky and sold it- two weeks later it was on a trailer.
The bridge between the ports is too thin and cracks, then the rings catch on it....... well you know the rest. Chrome bores are really expensive.
Thirsty? was it ever, that bike used as much gas as my Triumph 2000 did.
It always started first kick, and even ran OK as a single (my mates stole a plug cap  )
On that bike I learned how to do stoppies, wheelies, wheelspins in the rain, and to go slow on gravel.
I loved it to death, it almost caused mine several times, but I should have spent more on maintainance.
I'd buy another, but only to play with :ride: , It was too expensive to run for a daily user.
