If you don't know anyone to ride with hang out at the local bike shops, they should be able to put you on to some local groups / rides.

hiya! you'll find a lot of good advice here ----- you'll need to grow a thick skin but that's not necessarily a bad thing as here they are just pulling your leg while in the real world you are going to be [probably] seriously disrespected for the choices you are making.

If you wish to find other riders in your area, just go to the "Meetings / Rides" forum and put up a post, you may be surprised how many you may find. (And how many guys will try to go out for a cruz with you :ride:)
