I sold a bike two weeks ago and owe TM $39.00, after a few days you get the " your account needs some love".......
I let it go to see what they would send next...
then you get a less nice notice threatening you with suspension......whats next Baycorp?
..... must be great having a near monopoly.
Oh dear, we've noticed that your Trade Me account has been in debt for over two weeks - your current account balance is -$39.00.
Until you pay off your Trade Me account debt, you cannot place any new listings on Trade Me, buy any items using Buy Now or ask any questions on any listings, and you risk having your membership suspended.
Pay off your Trade Me debt now!
Once your account is sitting at $0 or in credit, you can continue to buy and sell on Trade Me.
If you've recently made a payment, it may not have shown up yet - take a look at your Account statement in the next few days to check.
Happy trading!

I was getting emails from TM for having credit in my account and not making any listings for over 3 months :brick:
Those emails stop once I said they can send me a refund funny that :innocent:

They stop you from bidding, making new auctions, posting comments etc but never has my account been disabled as of yet.

TM provides a service.
People use that service then bitch about paying for it.
Here's a thought,,,,fuck off and sell your shit via any one of the "many other" ways you can do so.

You knew what it cost before using the service. Now you're not paying, and having a cry about them asking (nicely) for payment.
Monopoly? There's plenty other on-line sales sites - many of them free. Why not use them instead?
Please enlighten us on what you do for a living, and whether your prepared to do it for free instead. No? Didn't think so.
You entered a contract. Honour your commitment, and stop being a whiny cunt.

I would say it's still the best known and cheapest for nationwide coverage. Perhaps the "Jew" is you ... ;)
Either pay what little is asked or close .. your account. Put all your sales through the classifieds in Newspapers ... :pinch:
That'll teach 'em ...

it is fuckin expensive - bt you do get better coverage. Off the top of my head 5 of the last 6 bikes to be purchased by me or locals I know were bought through trademe, from another city - and were bikes at prices that would not have been found locally.
yes it costs, yes its expensive, but as a buyer, you probably save alot instea of having to be forced into buying locally and as a seller you get a much larger market.
So unless you want to pay $20 per day for a tiny ad in the local rag, stop your fuckin whining and pay your bill. ya cunt.

I had my account sitting at -$20 for around a year and nothing happened. I had tried to use online banking to pay it but couldnt figure it out, finally did when i got a debt card.
After about a week of being in the negatives they stop you from bidding and asking questions.
