Hiya,
Any recommendations for reputable servicing in the Auckland area ?
When I first got my bike I got a full service done by a shop in Auckland (valve clearances checked etc), for peace of mind and a good starting point for it's service history while I have the bike.
I since did an oil/filter change and found a few things that were done wrong (really basic stuff .. missing o-ring, incorrect parts used), so now I don't have that warm fuzzy peace of mind feeling any more and want someone to redo what was done.
(it also narked me off when I emailed the shop who did the work and get shoveled a big steaming lump of horse crap as answers that I even I as a bike DIY novice could recognise was crap)
Any good pointers ?
Thanks.

Ummm ... a full service is usually a bit more than an oil change, I got them to do valve clearances and what not, which is out of my league of DIY maintenance. I can however do an oil change and then notice that there is no o-ring behind the filter, and that the crush washer used with the drain plug was in fact a plain old washer .. .so finding 2 things wrong with just changing the oil makes me wander what sort of half-arsed job they did with the valve clearances and other stuff they claim to have done. And then leads to me asking for reputable people to do the service stuff I can't do.

Probably not wise for me to name and shame, but they are in Auckland and not a little back street shop.

Ditto. And he does tyres too; at very good prices.
