liking the look of that one, 23ish kms per litre is pretty awesome for an 800, not sure about all the electronic stuff but if finances were capable i'd have one in my shed:headbang:

Only if they've fixed that crap rear shock bolt design.

I was just thinking today it's about the right time of year for a Liquifaction ride

Don't see why the good folks at BMW would object, look how many bikes Ewan and Charlie sold for them after videoing them stuck and falling off in mud, sand and gravel....hauling 250kg monsters out of swamps is half the appeal for would be Beamer owners

That looks like fun

I'll be interested to see how they price this here. The standard 800 is $23k already, and there's only $5k between that and a 1200GS. There are several packages available for the 800GSA which will bridge that price gap pretty quickly.

It looks to be 15kg heavier for the extra 8 litres of fuel and it uses slightly more fuel. I like the look of the fake tank shroud better, but it's probably not work the effort for NZ. Lighter is better. Then again, the extra weight is probably for the crash bars and the rack, wasn't sure if that is standard. Still, who needs a 500km + range in NZ. Any adventure ride you go to is dominated by chook chasers with a spare fuel container strapped to he back. Hehe, I am all for 800cc+ only adventure rides. It would be a lot less crowded :-).
