Due to a change in direction my bike is know for sale.

I have owned for nearly one year and have only managed to get to the odd track day so have realised that it better to have the money than a bike doing nothing.

So... this bike was previously owned by Ryan Hampton( ex Castrol Honda bike) and was his spare bike that got used very successfully at various meetings/events.

It is a full racebike with an above average stock motor, nix 25 up front and TTx36 in the rear, HM quickshifter, HRC wiring loom and ECU and full titanium leo vince exhaust system and a power commander to top it off.

Goes like a cut cat and is a very capable bike in the right hands.

Comes with a selection of used slick tyres.

Will consider as part trade a Suzuki B King, black swingarm model or a well set up speedway sidecar.

 anyone interested?I don't wanna be a prick, but there is a K8 GSXR1000 with more mods and spares for $13K. If it hasn't sold already. (Spud?)

It's a lot of bike for the money for sure, but ya might need to be a bit flexible on price if you want to move it quick.

Spuds bike has already sold Drew, but there was another 2008 HRC Honda 1000 that sold yesterday with a heap of spares for $12500

All the ex superbikes seem to go for between $11K and $13k once they hit 5 years old. They're no longer supposed to be eligible for nationals racing, so they bike club racers and track day bikes.

Considering my old bike was reportedly an $80,000 build, I couldn't believe when we picked it up for what it cost.

I was told the same value with my ex Bugden gsxr, i ended up selling that for $11000

Err,

Why are they no longer eligible after 5 years???

Thanks for the input guys, Im pretty sure it is eligable for superbike class though.

I am flexible on price but better to start high and go down, pretty hard to go the other way.

I guess time will tell where the market is.. still it a sweet ride fresh paint, low km engine and being stock at least you dont have a big rebuild bill every 2000kms or so like a full spec super.

Looking to buy a house, never thought I would sell my toys to do that but that happens sometimes as Im sure many of you guys have done too and hopefully can return to it in a couple of years.

Serious offers considered but im not giving it away.

Err,

Why are they no longer eligible after 5 years???That was the rule when I had mine. Is this changed?

No,

It doesn't mention anything about how old the machine is in APP "C",Not saying it didn't before though.

Interesting. I will have to spread the word that there is no age limit for superbikes now.

Still available, this is a top performing bike, all ready for the upcoming season, get out your wallets, get a loan whatever it takes to own this beast of a bike.

It possible that motor trade finance will finance this bike, just contact your local MTF dealer.

$12000, this is an awesome bike people. Ive always ridden gsxr models on the track an was blowen away how good this bike is, and i have always been anti honda. Sometimes you got to step outside your narrow mindset and see what there is out there in the bike world, you wont be disappointed that for sure.

Race or Track bike.

2008 cbr1000rr

Stock engine, ohlins ttx36 at rear, nix 25 up front, HRC wiring loom and ECU, mottobatt battery, full titanium leo vince exhaust, vortex rearsets and clip ons, braided brake lines front and rear, zz levers, wets and a few slick tyres. fairing blades and a sprocket.

Very good condition.

Very competitive in the right hands (not mine).

Would consider a very nice TLR1000, blue and white as a part trade.

Without the road gear it's worth 7k max

ARNIE
19th June 2014, 17:41
incorrect buddy, dont know why you would think that. I think even if it had all the standard gear on it the price would be more than that.

bikerboy011
18th November 2014, 20:15
Thats a fair deal, the ohlins ecu and loom alone would cost 7k lol.

Did you notice major improvement with the hrc ecu and did you replace the springs with hrc springs to accommodate for the increase in rpm?
