Ouch :-(
Did they tell you what you did wrong?
if it was for 'not using your mirrors often enough' that's a crock, because you can only see one of their indicators at any one time because they follow so badly.

What were the 3 things that they failed you on?
Maybe we can help you out in some way...

My test was a breeze. Ride around 1 roundabout and travel in a straight line for 5km's until the testing officer has finished his egg sandwhiches and cigarette.
Main thing is to keep the bike under 50kph and adhere to the give way rules.
Oh and one more thing "dat" is not a word!

I had no troubles doing my bike, went straight to full, just before they changed everything. However the first time I went for a drive for my restricted I freaked out the inspector. I was totally shattered after coming back in from sea. Had only about 2 hour of sleep for the prior 3 nights each and was feeling shattered. I was not paying attention and almost drove through a red light, but was stopped by the screaming instructor! Easy to see why I failed that time. Went back next week to have another go and sweet. Weather was bad so good nights sleeping and this time I was with the Police. Drove around the block and he says we need to go back??? I was thinking that I'd somehow dones something wrong. Turns out that the ploddy wanted to play golf. He just said that he did not know why I was such a bad driver in the previous attempt and it was easy to see that I'd sorted it (yea plenty of sleep). Then he grabbed his golf clubs and was gone...

can't remember my bike licence [have had that forever] with my cage licence thought i'd totally f3cked it when i told the instructor that I was driving and I would pull out into the traffic when I thought it was safe and not before and HE was a passenger and, as such, should sit back and SHUT UP as he had NO right to intefere with the driver.

Some ppl are lucky! I had about 15-20 mins of riding around South Dunedin, he said doing bout 40km in that area was tooo slow (!), head checks, roundabouts, mirrors,etc.... were fine. The other thing was - I didnt give way to a car goin pretty slow, and that was on my last lights b4 we turned back to the station. (Ive always been so careful with that, and then I fucked it up!!). Plus I seem to do that every now and then - when i break, i do couple of steps instead of puttin my feet firmly on the ground. So im quite angry with myself and that guy. Think I will try to book it again for the end of September, ... (?)

Bad Luck Magg. Little mistakes thou, sounds like you did great on most of it. Keep practising and look at the positives. You now know what they expect of you and what they are looking out for and seriously, even the best of us could do with more practise.
Good luck for next time. I'm going to go down and book for next week.
