I am putting Daniels race report on here (Development #50) as we are so pleased with his progress. This was his forth race meeting & to win all his three races was just:clap::niceone:

Bridgestone Winter Series Round 1 Manfeild 5 May 2013

We arrived at the track at 8:15ish, it was a bit cloudy and chilly. I went and signed in while Nigel unloaded the bike. We arrived knowing that there was a problem with the front tyre.

Practice
We put a bit more pressure in the front tyre because it was losing air quickly but were hoping that it would stay in during practice. I went out for practice and did two hot laps just to get a grid placing and then came in so we could try fix the problem. By the time I got in the tyre had dropped to 9psi. I ended up getting 4th on the grid with a lap time of 1:40.340 which was good considering the problem we had.

Race 1
Nigel and Jason got the tyre fixed in time for the first race. It was just a problem with the valve. I got an alright start and was still 4th going into the first turn. I was keeping up with Marc who was on a 250 and got past him for a little bit until he got past with a lap left. I tried to get the drive out of the last corner and beat him but left it a bit late and he just bet me. That gave me 5th overall but 1st in my class and had a best lap of 1:35.853 and a gap of 17 seconds between me and the next rider behind me.

Race 2
I didn’t get a very good start and was 6th into turn 1 but got into 5th by the second turn and stayed there until the two lead riders crashed which resulted in a red flag. We had a restart without the two riders that crashed. It was a pretty lonely race for me just sitting in 3rd for the whole race but still got 1st in my class again with a best lap of 1:36.229.

Race 3
I got a reasonable start and was 4th into the first turn. I could tell that this race was going to be more interesting with Zane keeping up. Zane and I were having a good battle changing position bit. He made me work for this race but with 2 laps left I pulled away and took 1st in my class again. I had a best lap of 1:34.828 which was better than my first race which I was pleased with because I was improving.

A big thanks to Nigel for helping me out during the day and Jason to. Also thanks to PMCC for the loan of the bike.

.

Darn well done young man. That time is pretty close to what the person first over the line did in that race.....

whoever said this was acceptable needs a big fat boot up their arse, they may not give a fuck whether you get hurt but the marshalls and meeting organisers etc have to deal with any incidents and simply don't like seeing anyone hurt ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S PREVENTABLE

I have to agree with you there Spyda. This is the kind of "she,ll be alright" negligent attitude that will result in accidents and the demise of our sport. Im sorry to put a "downer' on a great effort from another youngster....... but there is a lot more to this racing lark than just doing laps. Bike prep / checking should be done prior to a race meeting.
Great to see another young gun on track... but please look at the big picture guys.
