LS2 FF385 Helmet

I purchased this on Saturday from New Plymouth Motorcycles and took it out in the sunshine today. Lots of features for $350ish. I found it light, comfortable and quiet. All controls are easy to use with gloves on.

I thought the pump up cheek pads was a bit gimmicky, but with a little pressure it secured the helmet snugly. The chin guard has ample space even with the pump in there, and there is a small curtain under the chin that stops the wind blowing up inside the helmet.

A nice little touch; the padding under the helmet strap has a little Velcro pad so that the padding stays in place all the time. Helmet strap is secured with a D ring, but there is enough strap to just loosen it fully and just slip it off and on with the gloves on.

Plenty of easy to operate vents (forehead, top, rear vent and chin) and they provide a good airflow. No problem with fogging, but I wll be looking to get a pinlock insert to fit to the pegs already in the visor.

Whoops! Forgot it also has an internal sun visor. Operates easily on the left just below the ear. Not terribly dark, but effective in bright sunshine and more comfortable than sunnies under the helmet.

After the sidecar rode me for a bit, I am forced to get a new helmet. LS2 fit me well, but my last one was friggin noisy.

Love my LS2. Works a treat with the pin lock. Mine has the ratchet strap set up that I can do with gloves. Internal sun shield works well.

My partner had exactly the same helmet in a big crash and it worked well.

I have an LS2 also, the flip face one. According to the Sharp testing thingy its a 4 star, which seems quite unusual for a flip face. I like their desigms features and price. I especially like that its ready for a pinlock if you want it.
