Hi Everyone

My friend and I who have been riding for years and now incidentally find ourselves without a bike between the two of us are looking for some good-value options to hire bikes just for ONE DAY to have a mean long ride and get it out of our system.

I've been looking online and have only found agencies that are too expensive ($200+ per day) or have weekend rates. Perhaps, that's all that is out there but I thought it best to check with you fellas seeing if anyone knows of a good establishment where we can:

a) Hire a bike for just one day
b) Not pay through our nose

Is there a place for eg that hires out bikes for 6-8 hours for under $100?? We're looking for bikes around the 600cc mark. Or am I just dreaming?

Many thanks
Donny

Rental bikes have a high rate of... incidents. Insurance is probably horrible on them.

No, renting bikes isn't cheap, but depends on what you want. You want something late model and expensive, then hireage is high. Want something cheap to hire, it's going to be cheaper...

Or am I just dreaming?Donny, I would say you've passed that and gone straight to taking a handful of sedatives with a swig of vodka!

Regular insurance is pricey for most, I expect hire bike insurance would make my hair stand on end.

Haha thanks guys. Just for comparison, hiring bikes in India was $5 a day! They were run down 150cc's but still...

Ever heard of test rides??? ( just joking) only way you will get a bike for a day, even then you will need a $2000 insurance excess from your credit card.
