Sure, if you're up at the South Head ride tomorrow, give my bike a go, then you can form your own opinion. :msn-wink:

I have Rekluse EXP units in 2 of my bikes....
Pretty much the same as the Revloc dyna ring...
what I have found with the Rekluse is get the revs up fast
so the clutch engages with the least amount of slip...
Don't lug the motor in higher gears.... low gears , revs up..
they are great if you ride tight terrain... but for more open
ground there is no real benifit..

Interesting. They must be back into then, because they went out of business in 2011. Wonder how they dealt with the rekluse thing.

Yep I'd pretty much agree with that assessment, on my FI RMZ 250 it will flame out if you're lugging it in a higher gear and open it up quickly, but on the Athena normally aspirated RMZ290 you can pretty much lug it in a higher gear and snap throttle in any terrrain. Chain and sprocket wear is higher than usual, but they're consumables anyway.

Interesting points, cheers for that. Had been thinking of running one and the thumb or LH rear brake. I also like the idea of the Clarks clutch/brake set up. I may make my own version of it.

I'm running a Rekluse and a left hand ( handle bar mounted ) rear brake on my YZ250, Clutch leaver is gone and so too is the rear brake foot pedal. This has to be the best set up ever, for trail riding. NEVER stall the engine again and if you fall off, the engine just idles waiting for you to pick it up and go again. This has to be the best way to enter a corner, standing on the foot pegs on your toes, best weight transfer, not having to bother with looking for a rear brake pedal with your foot. Best control of the brakes are by your fingers, like a mountain bike. The Rekluse will not be coming out of my YZ any time soon.

No idea what it's called? Blackwood Yamaha fitted it for me. I think it's just the standard cheap ( ish ) unit. We used a master cylinder off a small road bike for the rear brake and made up our own stainless braded pipe.
It's made this old guy feel like I can ride like a young guy again!
