Those who have ridden both a 250 2 stroke, and a 450 thumper, which would you consider the easier bike to ride?

About to sell my RM and looking at 4 strokes, cant decide between the 250f which I have ridden before, and is maybe a bit gutless power wise, espeically considering I am 110kg, or going straight to a 450f. Only concern there would be that they make more power than my RM which I found a handful at times, but I also know that 4 strokes deliver there power much smoother than a 2 stroke, so wondering if they are easier to control in that sense?

Any help?

the 450 is easier to ride fast, (as in lap times around a track) although in tight situations the 250 2t would be just as good,

but most poeple will ride a 250F quicker than both,

if you put a flywheel weight on a 250 2t they are a heap easier to ride,

they both have their strong points,

In a way, I would like a 250f, but just a bit wary to be honest of those high strung motors.

Have a FWW on the RM and makes a huge difference, but keen to try something else now as I'm a bit like that with all my toys :)

with 110 kg's I would be going 450 :D

I have yet to ride my brothers new 450f but he loves it, he had his 250f going pretty quick but you had to be in the right gear all the time to get good times, the 450 is more forgiving but it can also get speed up pretty quick so he has had the odd moment where he has been going quicker than he thought...Its in bits after an off ATM but only after another rider took his front out coming in to a high speed corner..

I would love to sell me older 250F for a 450 but I don't ride enough to warrant it.

i rode yzf450 for a good five years and was / will go back to a 250 when i get back from the states the 450 was hard work on a trail ride lota fun but hard work wore you out pretty quick which on a long ride can be draining by the end of the day. reckon i was quicker on the 250 too.
