Bruce Anstey continued his remarkable North West record, managing to score a podium finish every year since his debut in 2002. It was his 23rd podium in total to go along with his 9 victories at Portrush. Two weekends in a row a Kiwi is on the Podium at major race event in Europe. Bruce Anstey and Jake Lewis , you are doing us all proud. Bruce finished second in the Supersport Race on Saturday and second in the Superstock race on Thursday at the Northwest 200 in Ireland and Jake Lewis third in the third round of the European Junior Cup in Monza Italy last weekend. Also Watch for Avalon Biddle (who was third in her last race) at the next round of the Italian Championship next weekend in Rome. Not forgetting Sam Croft , Connor London and Blayes Heaven.

Some good news for the future of NZ motorcycle racing.
It would be nice to see some acknowledgement of Bruce Anstey's success in the mainstream press.

It is amazing how our sporting press is so focussed on rugby, cricket, golf, tennis and maybe a few others.
I have always been involved in sports that get no coverage and have no interest in the sports listed above. None the less I am very glad we have a bunch of up and comers joining the ranks. I am pleased to be able to say Avalon kicked my arse on a 250 when I was racing a 400 in the winter series. I hope she goes far so that I can tell people about it when she is winning internationally :)
