I'm trying to remember the singer and the name of a song from a few years ago. Sung by a female soloist with quite a rough sounding voice.

About a woman and her two kids fleeing from a man who was always beating them. I can remember a couple of lines

" Why do you do it? Why do you treat us so bad"

" You've got two kids who love you and a wife who needs you so bad".
or lyrics very close to these.


Made a lot of people uncomfortable to listen to it.
