Who here does there own top ends on a 4 stroke?
Is it something a backyard machanic can do easy enough if they are not completely useless at mechanical work?

Or best left to the workshops to do?

New slug, rings, camchain, tensioner and guide are all a piece of piss. Dunno if a valve grind needs done every time, but that and setting clearances is also a piece of piss.

Knock yourself out.

Spanners/hammer/beer and you'll have it sorted promptly

But... if you have to ask, get a workshop manual and take your time.

Just put a big bore kit in my wr250, watched lots of vids on youtube, had the manual for torque specs etc, took my time and took pics on the ph as I went incase I forgot where something went, only ridden for 30 min but so far so good.

Youtube helps alot in that you can see what the manual is telling ya.

what i meant to say was....
top end, bottom end, front end, side end, bell end... i do it all by myself...

(mainly because maha isn't friends with me on facebook anymore... so everyone else is liek "who dat?" and i'm liek "yo peeps, it's the ax man" and they're like "pssss nah bro, we gon' hang out wif this dude")
