Any motorcycle barn/farm finds left in N.Z or have they all gone.
There are a few here and there that I've seen over the years.
But it aint like it used to be, since those damn farmers got internetness.

I found one a while back, they are still out there, you just need to end up talking to the right person at the right time.
Unfortunately you won't necessarily get them dirt cheap like you used to though, as above the interwebs make it too easy for people to find out what they're actually worth.

If you know about it, then it's hardly a "find". And once found, it's no longer undiscovered.
You can't say they've all "gone" unless you've covered every single square metre of the country??
Bizarre question...

Well with all the americans and Europeans that came down and raced wanagnui or castrol 6hr there must be bikes somewhere....america has dried up due to exporters sending bikes to japan and now the u.k is the biggest buyer of z1, cbx, h1 or 2 , gs and even katana's are fetching good money than 1500-2000 5 years ago.
I know buckley has the vance in hines 0w01 that was brought down from the u.s and then crafer then haldene raced it in the early 1990 years...dont know if he still has it
I thing canada is the next best bet but they are also being swamped by collectors, I served (army) in south africa for 8mths back in the 90's the bikes they had were amazing due to there issues back on importing.
I know two poeple that brought norton manx out off there.

I know two poeple that brought norton manx out off there.I know of a few guys who literally traveled the country finding bikes, and sending them to Japan. Just as you describe.
That market dried up, and he continued to make money by starting importing bikes from Japan instead.

If that's who i think, it's a business - he sells parts via internet.
There's a GS1000 sitting in a barn within 20k of me. I've not seen it but via an intermediary we tried to buy it. Tyres are rotted and the wheels won't turn. Owner won't sell - says he will restore it. Bullshit - it's past economic restoration now. And yes, I do blame the internet.
I know of a couple of people here in Canty with Manxes tucked away. It costs too much to run them regularly now but they're money in the bank....

Many moons ago, we chucked a runner out when we moved. Dad had scored it for my brother, and pulled it to bits to tidy it up...That was as far as the project got, unless you count the mileage to the tip.

Found one in an old shed out wendonside way a few years ago on a dairy conversion we were doing, but the dumbass on the digger had cloth ears and pushed the shed and bike and everything else into a big heap. Was complete too, I had an old 67 250 one years ago and would love another.
