I am looking to buy new or used Starter Motor for a 2008 VL250 Intruder K7.
They seem to be very hard to get hold of, so much so the next shipment from Suzuki Japan is not until August and I can't stand to have my bike off the road for that long considering it is my only for of transport.

im new on here, as is the reopening of my family business FULLERTON MOTORCYCLES LTD ,
I cant see why your starter motor cant be looked at and overhauled ?? i may be able to help

From what I understand that the mechanic told me is it's beyond any state of repair

long shot but i have one thats off a suzuki 125 and its obviously used on other models because one of the mounting brackets to the engine is not used on mine.its about 13cm in overall length,the main body is 8.5cm long,5.5cm fat and has number dd6401 stamped on it(but that might not mean anything)

ok , another type may fit im sure something can be done ,, its only a starter motor at the end of the day and there are many after market ones i can get ,it is a case of maybe matching one up to yours ,, just saying

Did it come off a GN125?
I am not sure if it will work, but how much do you want for it?

no a uz125 and i want lots of beer
i just looked at a pic of one for yours on ebay and they look the same,might be worth a go,im in pt chev 0272755860

looks like vl 125 uses same starter as vl 250 so it may fit a few models,good luck.
