unfortunately, not bringing an apocalypse.
But we should all take time out to appreciate the beauty of nature, and the epicness of existence, and how we're a symbiotic part of it.
Act like it. Not fucking parasites.
So the moon is different to yesterdays moon? How bigger is it compared to tomorrows moon?

No less or more moon there but a full moon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_moon) occurs when the moon is in opposition with the sun (in relation to Earth) so the gravitational influences are in alignment. This will cause minor changes in gravitational forces experienced on Earth during a full moon and more so if the moon is also at perigee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perigee) due to it being closer to the Earth.

Is God dead?
Yes
“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?”

Yeah ... sorry ... rather a lot really ... there are, I think, 166 in our solar system alone

Mars has two
Jupiter has 63.
Saturn has 60.

Your use of the word A has no relevance to what I said earlier...should I have said 'the Earth's moon''? to make it clearer for someone of your intellect?
I suppose you realise that THE moon was not actually any bigger than the night before, it was just it's close proximity to earth.

I'm well aware that EMS are more busy on a full moon, yet I think it's more psychosomatic than anything. But it has nothing to do with how much moon you can see. It's usually the suns position, relative to our position on the earth.
I tend not to elaborate that far when I ask the moon people my question. It kinda takes away from the piss take.

Being that the sun is pretty fuken big, yes, it has a large gravitational and radiationl influence on the near galaxy. The moon, being smaller and not emiting light, is more affected by erth's gravity than vicey versey,

I'm all in favour of military arms and technology. Mutually Assured Destruction has worked for nearly 70 years now. Most of our technological and human developments have sprung from war requirements. I'm glad that's a US spaceship up there and not a North Korean one... We'll need the best weapons available if aliens ever come here and decide we're not too bright but very "tasty".
As an aside, I watched Andrew Marrs's History of the World last night and he alluded that Neanderthals we're probably wiped out as we humans ate them as a food source. Yummy, yummy!

The chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, but still, they come.
You unfortunately can't post the dramatic music that accompany htose words...:weep:l

That's the point. More wars = more cool weapons.
If China were to announce tomorrow they intended to fly-to and claim Mars as their own, you can bet we'd see another cold-war style space race. It's astonishing what they achieved from 1950-1969. We can do it again.
What a fuckin waste.

Agree, anyone dying because people can't work out their differences is a tragedy. But, if you had a weapon that could wipe out a pugnacious nation wholesale (with minimal losses to your nation), well, that might keep that aggressive nation in check. MAD huh? Also, crazy as it sounds more effective weapons end wars faster. One just has to hope one's on the winning team.
Conscientious objectors to the front of the line please...

Maybe they are only agressive nations because us white fuckers keep trying to steal their shit, dunno.

There's something to that, but the flow of people is East to West not the other way around. "The West is the best" - Jim Morrison said that.

Still curious what the hell that X-37is for!?
The X-37B is still a prototype, its isn't really anything except a "prove we can put something into space and it can control itself and come back down so we can do it all again.
Sounds really stupid - but its not, it will be the first unmanned craft to do so successfully and be reused. The Russian and US attempts up until this point have been either manned or 1-way-trips.
Be concerned about what they want to do next and have been developing on the ground to bolt on to this bad boy.
The reason why they needed a beta or test vehicle to be 100% before hand is because if something goes wrong - it goes wrong badly.
They suspect next stage is some type of weapon - from lazers to solid magnesium rods. But first you have to prove you can get it into space unmanned and back again first.

We had a good view last time it happened and got good photo for the gear I had. (really need big telephoto to do moon justice).
Thing is the moon always looks the same everytime as it doesn't rotate on its axis relative to us.
