Why are all the websites you google American?

Huh?
I'm sure there are lots more websites out there so why do Americans have all the answers?


I've never come across a website from Brasil, Japan, or China when googling something.
Is there a better way to search?

Keep the answers simple cos I'm pretty thick.

Because of so many people there spouting rubbish. Bearing in mind that it also includes Canada. Language preferences also have a bearing, Google knows you want English, so foreign languages appear much further down in the results.

You can visit Google specific websites like www.google.co.nz (or for other countries) for more tailored searches, or when searching, put site:nz at the beginning of the search for example.

I use google nz as my search engine. There used to be a pages from NZ tab you could use but that doesn't seem to be there now.

It seems to me after page one of the results the results are more random.

All good bro. Go to control panel select the "Clock, Language, and Region" button (a little globe of earth with a clock next to it) Then select the "Formats" tab and change the format to Chinese or Japanese, click the "Apply" button at the bottom then open your browser and type in your search request. Easy peasy ;)



You do know how to read Chinese and Japanese and know how to type the languages using an English language key board eh!
