Been using my pair of handroids for just under two years now. They work pretty well for me, comfy and easy to use. Just the little velcro strap that helps secure around your wrist can sometimes work free and be a pain in the arse to rethread back if you've got both gloves on already.

The tightening system is cool and a cinch to release. When people notice the exo-skeleton type protection over the back of the fingers, they always are interested in it!

Pricey, but if you can spring for them, you'll love them! Just my two cents!

I have a pair of Handroids and are extremely pleased with them. Best feel ever on the bars, and the protection they give makes all other gloves I've used over the years feel distinctly weedy in comparison. You won't be disappointed.

I have a pair and as Sugilite said they really make you feel protected! The feel through the kangaroo palms is excellent too. I found they took a while to break in and I got a bit of numbness in my hands for a while until they broke in. I did feel the scaphoid sliders through the palms a bit initially but not so much now.

Top gloves and they make you feel like a motocycling bad ass android ;)

Been looking at these pretty much since they came out. The only negative reviews I've seen were some that said the white ones get stained from the handlebars really easy and the thumb can be a bit big for some people. Apart from that people say they're awesome gloves. Definitely getting them once my A*'s eventually die. There's one guy from the UK currently on ebay selling them for around $250nz but he's all sold out of XL. The rest of ebay is around the 300nz mark. Local price seems to be circa $350. They will be mine.....

I looked into Knox 'droids a few weeks back. No major issues with them that I could find. Go for it.

I bought a set of RS Taichi GP-EVO instead; a little cheaper, less showy, move easily, solid build. Have a look at those too.

RS Taichi or where I bought them?

RS Taichi is Japanese. You don't see their stuff around much but it's good stuff. Link here (http://pro1.rs-taichi.com/product/NXT046.html).

I bought them from the US here (http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=5909), vid review here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caL_KpA6Ng0) ...and they fit one size small (e.g. if you're normally Med, get Large)

... oh, on the label it says "made in china"... but then again so does the label on some A* GP Pro's.

Yes they do look the part. Kangaroo is sweet eh.

If I had of known Knox do a 'droid full black version I might have gone for those.

The stitching in the palm fell apart on mine after a crash bucket racing, stitching on one of the velcro straps came apart after a month of use and I cut the exo skelton stuff of the right hand pinky and ring fingers because I had them stop the brake lever a couple of times when racing.

I just look at them and think the handroid exoskeleton is a bit of a marketing wank.

I assure you it's not, the idea is the protection extends and retracts as your fingers move, giving you coverage protection for the top of your fingers at all times. I've had mine 6 months and have had no issues with them, and I'd not even consider going back to other gloves.

Stitching/QMoto?.... who would have thunk it? gloves can't be up to QMoto triple stitching standard.

(I know, thunk is not a word)

so two reckon they're shit, two reckon they're THE shit. I'd personally want odds before dropping 3 hundy.

... this post reminded me of a video I watched ages ago of Kiwifruit dude goofing off on a Scorpio. His gloves looked like Knox with the exo skeleton flapping like little feelers. Maybe he had to cut his too.

If I were buying new gloves I would go for the Held Phantom Gloves. They get VERY good reviews. Not as blingy as the Handroids but nice.

This guy gives them a good review and apparently he crashes a lot??

Of course he also gave the Handroids a good review

To be fair Im more interested in the Biomechs which dont have the finger skeleton. I do like the Boa system, ive used the system before in cycling shoes which was great.

im wearing these in the warmer months

http://images.motorcycle-superstore.com/ProductImages/OG/2009-Teknic-Chicane-Short-Gloves---2009.jpg

they were on the cheap side but i really like them. i wouldnt mind a new set of winter-ish gloves though, my current pair are OK at the waterproof thing but i find the wrist coverage is too short and doesnt cover the bottom of my jacket sleeves easily. alot of these GP style gloves seem to have much longer 'sleeves' on them which i like the idea of.

i do like the knox adjuster gizmo, but 300 is alot. how are you all finding your various versions at waterproof-ness?

(i know the handroids are not meant to be waterproof btw)

after a bit of poking around these sound rather good. have always disliked the fist full of cotton wool feel that my current / previous winter gloves give. only takes a couple of rainy days before they start feeling permanently damp too.

those held phantoms mentioned above appear to be discontinued?

I think they have been superceeded by the Phantom II

Biomech might be better, dunno. You have lots of choices. I'm paranoid about busting up my hands again so decent gloves with SPS is a must have for me.

... and yeah, I have boa system on my boots too. It's pretty good all right.
